Retail/Budtender Job Description
We are looking to employ a knowledgeable and experienced Retail Selling Associate to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products.
The responsibilities of this role include greeting and welcoming customers and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. You should also be able to answer customers’ questions regarding the different types of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption. Ultimately, an outstanding Retail Shift Lead should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases & all other associates are being productive and upholding River Bluff’s expectations.
Retail Associate Responsibilities:
- Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
- Processing customers' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.
- Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.
- Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
- Checking customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age.
- Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked
Retail Shift Lead Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the store every day
- Managing the store’s security alarm system, enabling it and disabling it when necessary
- Making sure that the store is always clean and properly organized
- Assisting store cashiers at peak periods
- Ensure productivity of selling associates during their shifts
- Attending to customer requests or inquiries in the store
- Filling in for the store manager when required
- Ensure daily inventory modifications are recorded per the guidelines
- Execute all other duties as assigned
Associate Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience working as a retail sales associate.
- General knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Cannabis Security Officer
P4 Security Solutions invites you to join our rapidly growing team as a Cannabis Security Officer. We are currently hiring for Cannabis Security Officers FT/PT in East Dubuque, IL.
These positions are variable hour positions and are subject to change based on the needs of the business. The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by the employee in order to successfully perform all of the essential functions of this job.
A list of these basic job duties includes, but is not limited to:
- Standing for long/extended periods of time.
- Foot patrols on the interior and/or exterior of the building/facility.
- Performing assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
- Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs if necessary.
The employee will be responsible for:
- Executing security services as they are outlined in the post order manual and accompanying policy and procedural guidelines as directed by P4 Security Solutions.
- Conducting walking patrols of building/ facility and/or vehicular patrols, depending on the work site.
- Supporting management by accepting various assignments at multiple locations in order to cover open posts both pre-planned and unscheduled.
- Traveling on a daily basis between various locations within the designated region.
- Identifying and reporting security threats, unsafe conditions or hazards, and/or other emergency situations.
- Site-specific duties and tasks based on assignment, which may include customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, loading dock security, crowd control, and/or a variety of other safety and security roles.
- Writing detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports during shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved.
- Contacting appropriate individuals (site supervisors, field management, etc.) as directed by site post orders or as needed during shift.
- Following all company procedures and policies, maintaining acceptable attendance, and adhering to all customer service standards.
- Participating in all mandatory company and site orientation and training programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Some security or customer service experience preferred.
- Fingerprints submitted through ISP with a status of “eligible,” which may be conducted during the hiring process.
- As a condition of employment, an employee must be able to successfully complete a seven-year criminal background check and a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
- Successfully obtain a PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card), which can be obtained post-hire.*
- May require a current, valid state Driver’s License, a clean driving record as determined by P4 Security Solutions LLC, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle if assigned to a position requiring the operation of such.*
- Must be able to provide reliable transportation to consistently get to and from work on time.
- Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports.
- Understanding of security operations.
- Ability to track and maintain scheduled assignments.
- Strong customer service skills.
Additionally, as a condition of continued employment, the employee must maintain current, active status of all necessary registrations, licenses and permits required for the position.
