Greenhouse Grower:

Job Description:

Large private estate is seeking a greenhouse grower, this is a full time, year round position. Responsible for a wide variety of annual, bedding, pot crops, perennial crops and some areas of exotic conservatory displays. Duties include propagation from seed, cutting and commercially grown plugs. Knowledge in a variety of growing conditions which include cold frames, glass/plastic greenhouses, bulb cellar and more. This position is directly responsible for product quality control for crops utilized on property. Tasks include the monitoring and control of the greenhouse, nutrition management and application, crop record keeping and following organic management principles using beneficial insect for pest control. Some outdoor garden maintenance required.

Qualifications include that the applicant must be self-motivated, able to work independently and hard working. Horticultural degree a plus but 3 years growing and propagation experience is a must.
