Cannabis Grower Cosechador Jobs

Position Summary:

The Grower position is responsible for assisting in monitoring and controlling all farm duties. The grower will be assigned tasks to be conducted in a timely manner so that the farm can function in a predetermined set schedule. The grower must have a sound understanding of the mushroom growing process to mentor and direct all farm employees to achieve company goals of mushroom quantity and quality. A successful grower must have thorough knowledge of mushroom physiology, growing media, mycology and entomology as well as computer and labor relation skills, and the engineering understanding to provide an environment best suited for mushroom growth. If applicable the grower must interact with the harvesters and harvesting management throughout the week and during the daily level 2 farm meetings.

Education & Training:

Associate or Bachelor Degree Preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of Mushroom Growing Experience

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Understand and manipulate the mushroom specific computer program to properly grow the crop to the best of their ability.
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office software.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of the mushroom growing process.
• Observe and control mushroom crop performance.

Certifications / Licesnses / Registrations:

Pesticide Applicator License

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To follow and help develop farm related SOP's. Monitor all aspects of crop performance to achive KPI's. Assist in evaluating and reviewing staff performance.

Responsibility: Supervisory

Assist in managing farm utility personnel and harvesting supervisors.

Responsibility: Program

Make sure the crop is kept on a timely schedule.

Primary Job Tasks :

• To be determined by Farm Manager
• Attend scheduled weekly meetings and provide observations pertinent to the meetings.
• Monitor and record crop data in the appropriate door charts, spreadsheets, etc.
• Evaluate employee functions so that they are performing according to company policies. Attend level 2 farm meetings.

Resumen de la Posición:

El cosechador cortara los hongos de diferentes tamaños y formas de las camas para poder cumplir con las ordenes del cliente, para que haya mas espacio para que los nuevos hongos crezcan y para mantener la mayor calidad posible del producto para vender.

Experiencia:

No se requiere, pero si tiene experiencia cosechando hongo seria mejor.

Destrezas y Habilidades Esenciales:

• Seguir las direcciones del supervisión para saber cuales casas se tienen que cosechar, cuales contenedores se tienen que llenar…etc. .
• Trabaja con seguridad y eficacia y haciendo mínimo de trabajo innecesario.
• Se asegura que la superficie de la cama de hongo permanezca en buenas condiciones por medio de buenas technicas de cosecha.
• Mantiene toda la seguridad alimenticia y las normas de calidad, siguiendo las buenas practicas agricolas (BPA).
• Almacena todos los equipos de recoleccion segun el SOP de la compania.
• Mantener el area de trabajo limpia y ordenada, reduciendo el "droppage" del munon en los pisos, derribos de hongos en las camas y los riesgos de seguridad en los pasillos.
• Estar disponible para trabajar 5 o 6 dias a la semana segun las indicaciones del supervisor.
• Sigue todas las politicas y procedimientos de la compañía.
