Director of Business Development
CannaBuddy is expanding its current operations and we are looking for an experienced business development professional to join our executive team. The Director of Business Development will work directly with the Executive Leadership Team to spearhead and drive new business development activities. You’ll be joining an established cannabis company with stable income and an eye on aggressive growth. You’ll bring a proven track record of success to drive new business opportunities and increase revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Executive Leadership Team to drive business growth. Ensure relevant course of action by providing tactical and strategic decision making input and capabilities.
- Understand and interpret government and regulatory requirements in the cannabis industry to help Executive Leadership Team with long-term growth planning.
- Develop necessary tools and processes to oversee and manage internal Sales Team.
- Develop necessary assets for internal Sales Team (e.g sales literature, trade show assets, training seminars, etc.)
- Research, initiate, develop and close new business opportunities.
- Actively promote product lines by frequently meeting potential leads and existing customers.
- Provide product education both internally and externally.
- Participate, network, and contribute to industry exhibition events and trade shows. Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years in demonstrable business development activities.
- At least 10 years of a proven track record in sales and revenue growth, preferably in the Cannabis, Health & Wellness, or similar sectors.
- At least 5 years managing other resources and / or a sales team.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven. Willing to do whatever it takes to be successful in a highly competitive market.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and so on.
- Advanced user of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, SugarCRM, Zendesk, and so on.
- Experience in developing new processes from the ground up as well as improving the efficiency of existing processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge and passion for Cannabis products.
- Holds a current passport and valid driver license.
- US Citizenship is required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
