About us
US Cannabis Laboratories, Inc. is a start up company. We are in process of validation and will provide training.
You will participate in the validation process with support from a consultant who will structure validation frame work and SOP development. You will also be trained in instrumentation.
The following will be the validation scope:
1. Pesticides
2. Potency
3. Residual Solvents
4. Microbiology
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:
* LCMSMS experience in a Cannabis production testing lab environment
OR
* Highly Proficient in LCMSMS
Our work environment includes:
- Responsible for ensuring that the laboratory achieves and maintains a laboratory quality assurance program as required by state regulations.
- Ensures ISO 17025 practices are followed at all times.
- Manages multiple analytical projects related to the development, qualification and/or troubleshooting of sensitive, efficient, and reliable assays for a wide class of molecules simultaneously.
- Prepares, reviews, and edits method transfer, qualification, and validation protocols, analytical technical reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintains equipment and instruments in good operating condition, recognizes any malfunctions and troubleshoots as needed.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency requirements through documentation, audits, and corrective action.
- Participates in the development of new SOPs, new validations tests.
- Performs quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of clinical data.
- Participates in the updating of departmental standard operating procedures and databases to accurately reflect the current practices in the laboratory.
Job Qualifications & Requirements: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments used in cannabis labs, LCMSMS, GC, & common laboratory equipment.
- Experience in a certified lab and regulated environment, including such things as GLP/GMP, ISO 17025, state or federally licensed laboratories. Examples:
o Certified cannabis testing
o Pharmaceutical
- Extensive knowledge and experience with qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry techniques and principles.
- Experience in following and explaining methods, SOPs, operating principles.
- Experience with preparation of standards, solutions, use of specialty chemicals.
- Skilled at analytical technique troubleshooting.
- Laboratory and instrument maintenance.
Competencies
- Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and detail-oriented.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and with little guidance.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
Education/Experience
The Analytical Chemist must have, a bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry related sciences from an accredited college or university, plus at least two years of full-time practical analytical laboratory experience.
Must complete a background check. New hires will be subject to a 9-month probationary period with evaluations conducted every 90 days to monitor performance and suitability for continued employment. Training on how to operate laboratory instruments will be conducted at the start of employment.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
