Full Job Description

Summary of Functions:

The Grower Services Associate will be working under the Plant Manager, visiting growers and assessing crops.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: · Identify and recruit growers & suppliers for product on a seasonal and multi-seasonal basis.

· Keep up-to-date information on grower base, identifying opportunities to secure new relationships and contracts.

· Develop good relationships with growers by maintaining open and honest communication in all areas of business.

· Actively manage grower performance.

· Ensure product specifications are met. Improve quality by keeping abreast of industry changes and making growers aware of these changes.

· Monitor harvest, work to maintain a storage environment that minimizes losses and maintains quality. Work with internal team to coordinate product delivery to storage facilities.

· Understand the market, the growing conditions, growing region, trends in varieties, farming methods, plantings, etc.

· Managing and resolving supply issues.Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Crop Production or related field.
• Two (2) years work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy, handbook etc.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
