Position Overview
The Extraction Technician is responsible for following established protocols, regulations and procedures during the extraction process while operating equipment and conducting activities required to manufacture and store product, as well as properly maintain production equipment and materials necessary to run a sophisticated extraction lab.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Operating extraction and distillation equipment and handling extraction gases winterizing, refining, distilling, and/or formulating final product
- Follow Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with state marijuana regulations
- Cleaning and maintenance of lab and extraction equipment as required by procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accountability of all raw materials, finished products, and by-product
- Maintain safety equipment and records
- Understanding regulations/changes to regulations (local and state level)
- Perform QA/QC through analytical testing for quality, consistency and efficacy
- Master various techniques for cannabis extraction and infusion, including butane extraction
- Develop expertise in testing and formulating methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
Must pass a background check and submit personal information to LiveScan. Previous experience in plant processing mandatory:
- Speed and precision with equipment and attention to detail
- 2 years creating concentrates with BHO machines with focus on diamonds, batter/badder
- General knowledge of weights and measurement
- Ability to multi-task and maintain work consistency on a daily basis
- High attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Standing/sitting for long periods of time
- Ability to handle stress
- Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance
Experience and Education
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in chemistry, and three to five years of experience in related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment. Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis.

Essential Job Function:
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain punctual attendance.

- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with company standards.
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
- Handle waste products in accordance with company policy.
- Utilize and maintain equipment as required.
- Immediately report any equipment issues.
- Dress and groom per company policy, including uniform and hair restraint.
- Perform duties in accordance with company hand washing standards.
- Use gloves when handling product.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Primary Job Function:
- Prepare and package cannabis products in the variety, size and quality prescribed by company standards.
- Follow company procedures for receiving, preparing, storing and arranging product to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Consistently meet minimum quality and productivity goals.
- Accurately weigh cannabis products.
- Apply Labels and tamper seals.
- Assemble and label shipping boxes.
- Perform quality control check on finished product.
- Flexibility to assist other departments as needed.
Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirements include but are not limited to:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a Live Scan background check.
- Experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to proficiently read, write and communicate in the English language.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, pull and be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to stay focused when performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures.
- Ability to work with cannabis product without negative allergic reaction.
- Ability to maintain all procedures in accordance to company policy and California Public Health Department Standards.
Compensation: Starts at $13/hour with advancement opportunities based on performance.

METRC Inventory / AR / Cash logistics coordinator
POSITION
The qualified candidate will be responsible for the management of California’s Track and Trace Metrc program to comply with all State of California rules and regulations. METRC stands for Marijuana Enforcement, Tracking, Reporting, and Compliance. METRC is a web-based, state-mandated tracking and reporting software to maintain chain of custody of all marijuana products from seed to sale. Tasks include, but are not limited to, Metrc tag orders, plant tagging, package tagging, inventory control and order fulfillment. This position is responsible for implementing all internal processes and procedures while ensuring the operation stays compliant and meets all county, state and federal regulations.
In addition to Metrc the position will hold responsibility for cash handling, accounts receivable and bookkeeping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage California Track and Trace Metrc System – Manage tag orders, coordinate plant tagging, and track all cannabis harvest, inventory and waste activity for the Company. Maintains an inventory of tags, labels, and other supplies necessary for Track & Trace. Allocate inventory to the appropriate invoice, pull and pack orders and label the shipper(s), stage orders for packing and shipping.
- Live Inventory – Measure, track and report daily inventory, discrepancies and sales.
- Auditing – Review and audit outgoing tagged Packages in Storage and the METRC software. Manage and review all outgoing METRC orders, ensuring complete accuracy with the manifests and invoices. Conduct/lead physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- AR/Bookkeeping – Coordinate and process cash handling including following security protocol as well as tracking cash in QuickBooks.
- Office Administration – Tracking company expenses, generating expense reports and procurement of office and METRC supplies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years’ experience in warehouse management, inventory control or supply chain management
- Experience with QuickBooks and AR/AP input. CPA will create the COA so only basic knowledge is required
- Cannabis knowledge and industry experience preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of inventory control
- Strong attention to detail, reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate policies & procedures clearly
- Advanced computer skills including Windows/MS Office (Word & Excel), QuickBooks, Inventory Management, Order Management, Compliance and Reporting Software
- The ability to exercise sound judgment
- Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Excel required
- Metrc training preferred
- Cannabis industry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or information sciences or minimum 3 years relevant experience preferred, but not required
