This involves assisting clients in gathering and preparing documents, organizing application materials, and assisting clients in submitting and managing applications in various online portals.
- Supporting the firm’s attorneys in litigation and transactional matters, including assisting in preparing court filings, discovery, corporate transactions, and trademark filings, largely in the cannabis and hemp-derived CBD industries.
- Assisting the firm’s attorneys in advising clients on regulatory matters in the cannabis and hemp-derived CBD industries.
A candidate for this position must:
- Have earned a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Have excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and the Google G Suite products;
- Be comfortable working in a professional office setting (we are pretty laid back for a law firm, but we are still a law firm);
- Desire to work with businesses in the cannabis industry and learn about their businesses and the regulations they must follow;
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment by staying organized, multi-tasking, and staying cool under pressure;
- Show kindness, warmth and a sense of humor.
To be an ideal candidate for this position, you should:
- Be familiar with the modern cannabis industry;
- Have experience in law office as paralegal, legal assistant, or similar role involving civil litigation, transactional, and/or intellectual property matters; and
- Have experience with drawing or design software such as Illustrator.
We strive to be a fun place to work while providing outstanding service for our incredible clients.
This full-time position offers benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off.
If you would like to be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter explaining why you are interested in this position specifically. If you do not submit a cover letter, we will not review your application.
