We are looking to add one or two full-time (30-40 hours) member to our small team.
Job Description
Budtenders assist medical marijuana patients from a wide variety of demographics with selecting the best products to suit them.
This position requires good communication skills and the ability to understand and interpret a patient’s individual needs and preferences in order to advise and guide them with their purchases.
Budtenders handle all day-to-day operations at the store. Experience with retail or customer service and/or cash handling required.
Previous industry experience is not required but a passion for the plant, motivation to continue learning and adapting with the industry, and exceptional customer service skills are essential.
We are a small team and are looking for folks who are reliable, self-motivated, have a good work ethic, can work well under pressure, multi-task, and are comfortable working with a team as well as independently.
The job requires the ability to stand, kneel, crouch and bend frequently and/or for long periods of time and be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Remaining knowledgeable on various strains available, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption
- Opening and closing the store
- Greeting and checking in customers in a manner which maintains confidentiality, Maine State compliance, and exemplary customer service
- Processing patient orders in-person, online and over the phone
- Processing vendor orders and deliveries
- Quality control
- Maintaining accurate inventory
- Operating POS system, cash register, iPads, and other electronic devices
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
- Keeping storefront, cases, and cages stocked, clean, and organized
- Merchandising & display set-up
- Answering all methods of customer communication - phones, emails, IG etc
- Basic marketing - Creating social media content and engagement, emails to subscribers etc
- Maintain multiple on-line menus and online order systems
- Research industry trends
- Assist with updating/maintaining website if appropriate
Requirements
- Valid Maine State Drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to pass a Maine State required background check
- High School diploma or equivalent or related work experience
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch and bend frequently and/or for long periods of time
- Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
