Position Summary:
The individual who fills this position will work at our farm location in rural Avondale, CO. The Metrc Coordinator will be responsible and focused on process, procedure, and systems to ensure accurate and timely product inventory audit and controls for multiple cultivation licenses. The Coordinator will set audit schedule and perform audits including testing of internal process standards and controls. This individual will provide leadership in the development and implementation of retail inventory process, procedure, and systems. The Coordinator will work closely with accounting, finance, sales, and operations teams to maintain inventory process controls. Ensure and maintain digital and physical records of all phases of plant growth, harvesting/harvested plants, package/barrel inventories for designated license. The Metrc team will fill and complete orders as they come in from sales staff which is all tracked by the state through Metrc.
Essential Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain compliance with MED
- Manage the Metrc team activities and set goals
- Product management; communicate with growing department for product inventory
- Schedule and receive product from growing and processing department
- Vendor communication and purchasing of packaging supplies
- Overall inventory product management
- Manages the testing of product
- Conducts inventory audits
- Bookkeeping; daily balance report, cash in/out, accounts payable and receivable
- Analyze sales trends and search for opportunities for sales development. Work with marketing to develop campaigns and new revenue avenues.
Managing the Metrc Team
· Create groups of clones from work done by growing team in Metrc. Audit and maintain kills/packaging/transfers/transplants of clones, as necessary.
· Create plant tags when plants go from immature to vegetative. Audit to ensure what we have physically, matches what we report digitally.
· Flip plants digitally from veg to flower.
· Map the fields and Greenhouses as to strain locations and verify amounts.
· Measure plants growth to assist management make decisions on future harvests.
· Assist in running harvest of plants and report to state what the weights were per harvest batch.
· Assist in processing of plants making sure batches come down as they were harvested, and barrels are labeled with correct batches. Report all waste per batch to state.
· Organize barns as product comes in via barrels to track product. Package from barrels to the correct harvest batch in Metrc.
· Help get samples ready for transfer for testing of potency.
· Create transfers to move the product sold by the sales staff. Check transfer paperwork and manifests, verifying all minor details are correct and complete on each transfer the evening before the transfer is scheduled. Double check transfer details with Delivery Drivers before driver leaves the facility.
· Update/maintain/audit inventory for designated barn as product comes in, goes out, changes item.
· Assist growing staff if no Metrc work is being done as needed.
· Clean up work spaces depending on where work and jobs performed that day.
· Report any mistakes to proper authorities and make notes to back up what was said/resolution reached.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 3-5 years of compliance experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with Metrc tracking systems.
- 3-5 years of accounting and/or inventory audit control experience in Cannabis manufacturing, productions, or retail.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically with Word, Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Labor Marijuana Enforcement Division.
- Working current knowledge of the Colorado cannabis industry/laws.
- Available to work 50+ hours a week.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organizational astuteness, managing processes and people, process improvement, reporting skills, developing standards.
- Administrative writing skills, as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on an intermittent to regular basis daily.
· Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds consistently.
· Climbing and working on a ladder if necessary.
· Working in a barn, greenhouse and field with a wide temperature and humidity range.
Additional Requirements:
· Consistent on-time attendance for all scheduled shifts.
· Prepared for full 40-hour week working scheduled shifts or weeks over 40 during peak times to complete daily and weekly objectives.
