ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
As the Store Manager, you are the entrepreneurial spirit and visionary directing the in-store business functions that drive sales and profitability. You are the business leader of your store. Reporting to the Director of Retail Operations, the Store Manager is responsible for every aspect of store operations, including achieving sales plans, merchandising and managing inventory, acting as a liaison to the local community, hiring, training, scheduling, managing and motivating budtenders and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Qualifications Include:
- Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as an Assistant Store Manager or General Manager in a retail environment.
· Must obtain MED (Marijuana Enforcement Division) Occupational Badge (https://sbg.colorado.gov/med-employee-license-application)
- B.A. preferred, but experience is paramount.
- Experience working in a highly regulated businesses is desirable.
- Uses sound judgment when making decisions.
- Assumes other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Exhibits strong leadership skills amongst peers and have confidence communicating at the store and market level.
- Uphold excellent customer service skills and a service orientated culture.
- Achieve statistical results (sales, payroll, shrinkage).
- Previous retail experience required.
- Previous Cannabis experience preferred.
- Previous METRC experience preferred.
- Previous experience with POS system Adalis is plus, but not required.
- Ability to travel to corporate offices as well as other store locations for training, learning and development.

Leadership & Communication
- Communicates store and company information/directives to the store team.

- Prioritizes and communicates department issues to Director of Retail Operations
- Ensures expense controls within the store are met with various initiatives and strategies.
People Development
- Assume the role of mentor instore with regards to talent development and employee mentorship.
- Leads and supports staff development, models the way in maintaining relationships with our customer while enhancing the brands image through their team.
- Strategically recruit, train, and develop a productive store team and provide the market with strong candidates to support bench strength for all our retail locations.
- Develop Leadership Team to ensure successful planning to positively impact business, ensure bench strength and succession planning.
- Lead, develop and facilitate communication of staff education materials on all current and future product.
Managing the Environment
- Manages the store team to maximize sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sale.
- Coach the store team to take initiative as leaders to oversee all levels of customer service by setting daily goals and expectation to create a positive store environment.
- Exhibit excellent floor presence by training and coaching store team on customer standards, product placement and time management.
- Lead the team to uphold retail customer service standards.
Operations
- Manage the team to perform all store level operational procedures accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
- Lead, teach and guide team members to use company product reports to drive business.
- Achieve store goals by training in Loss Prevention awareness and overseeing adherence to Loss Prevention practices when in store.
- Collect and compile store’s payroll information weekly and send to appropriate HR and Manager.
- Conduct store audits on a regular basis and provide team with constructive feedback and obtainable goals.
- Consistently evaluate current operations management processes to ensure they are streamlined and efficient. Communicate feedback directly to the Director of Retail Operations
- Ensure compliance with all County, State and City regulations.
- Ensure compliance with company emergency and safety procedures to protect employees and customers from accidents and incidents.
- Ensure a neat, clean, and organized store environment.
Interpersonal Skills and Ownership
- Communicates and coaches effectively to all levels across the store.
- Develops partnerships to enable business success.
- Adapts to changes required by the business.
- Acts professionally and with integrity providing open, honest, and constructive feedback.

The stores are located in Carbondale, Parachute, Silt and Snowmass Village. We also own Hava Gardens, the largest living-soil Retail and Medical Marijuana Cultivation Facility producing sun and soil grown cannabis with organic cultivation practices, which is located in De Beque, CO. We also own Äkta, a Retail and Medical Marijuana Products Manufacturing Facility in Carbondale that produces solventless extracts and edibles.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
