Greenleaf Compassionate Care Center is a fast paced, growing medical marijuana dispensary located in Portsmouth, RI – just minutes from the Mass border. We offer a safe and peaceful retail experience where our friendly and knowledgeable staff provides thorough attention to the individual needs of each patient. Greenleaf’s MMP Delivery program is a newly forged branch of Retail Operations that requires a strong team mindset, the ability to troubleshoot under pressure, and willingness to adapt to change.
The program is a startup within a fully functioning ‘traditional’ retail operation, in which there is operational overlap, allowing for mobility between the role of budtender and DTM. This program employs the use of multiple technological platforms. All team members report to a Delivery Manager, who is responsible for initiating and fostering team communication, maintaining the growth of the program, providing analytics to upper management, and scheduling adequate staff to support the program. Delivery team members are required to be well versed in all compliance matters as they relate to the exchange of medicine, transportation, and transacting sales of medical cannabis within the state of Rhode Island. Team members must be well versed in all aspects of MMP transportation and retail compliance including, but not limited to: RI DBR MMP Regulations, HIPAA compliance, and safety / robbery protocols as outlined by Greenleaf CCC.
The delivery staff member will be the customer service “face” of the program. This individual will establish and maintain relationships with the online ordering team, retail floor budtenders, Retail Manager and the Director of Operations and Compliance act as a valuable resource, and a trusted partner while delivering our products. They will work closely with the Team Delivery Driver who will drive / pilot all routes for delivery and will wait while the delivery tender takes payment and delivers the medicine.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
- Follow routes and time schedule adhering to regs and staying within RI state lines
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Ability to collect payments via CanPay
- Excellent customer service skills
- Follow DBR regulations and safety standards
Skills
- Proven working experience as a budtender or online ordering team member
- Valid professional driver’s license
- Team player, works well under pressure
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good driving record

The budtender – patient relationship is one of the cornerstones of our thriving business.
This position is responsible for providing patients with knowledgeable guidance through the purchasing process so that they feel educated and empowered in their medication selections. Our budtenders maintain strict inventory controls to ensure complete compliance through the prevention of diversion and are thoroughly versed in DBR regulations and internal policies. Our budtenders are up to date with the development of new medicinal products, consumption methods, accessories, MMP media, culture, and events.
Essential Functions
- Enthusiastically greet patients upon their arrival to the dispensing counter.
- Educate patients on the different strains and products that are available.
- Empower patients to make confident choices in the selection and usage of their medicine and accessories.
- Maintain an efficient flow while ensuring patient needs are being met.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Perform inventory checks with manager at beginning, end, and periodically throughout shift to ensure compliance and the prevention of diversion.
- Maintain a clean and organized dispensing area.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Ongoing communication with superiors and colleagues to ensure the Greenleaf mission is being carried out.
