Position Objective:
The Metrc Administrator/ Inventory Coordinator will oversee the majority of inventory and transportation management activities within the facility. This individual will coordinate and ensure the comprehensive and timely documenting and reporting of all inventory management and transporting activities. The Inventory Coordinator will also maintain facility compliance and security with regard to inventory tracking and transportation and create and implement inventory management procedures that will enhance both. The Metrc Administrator will be expected to manage, account for, and report all inventory management activities to the Facility Manager and will also report necessary data in Metrc.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess expert leadership and communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check with no pending charges or convictions within the past 10 years for a controlled substance-related felony.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must not be registered as a primary caregiver or must withdraw registration as a registered primary caregiver prior to accepting an official position.
- Proficient in Excel/ Google Sheets Formatting
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communications, reporting, documenting, counting, and problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of the cannabis industry and the associated federal, state, and local municipal laws and regulations.
- Effectively communicates with the Sales team regarding orders and transportation.
- Working knowledge of commercial production processes including product safety, packaging, product transfer facilitation, and waste processing/reporting.
- Able to work in a fast paced, friendly environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work with a diverse team.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and be a team player.
- Receive and initiate product transfers between licenses. Ensure the comprehensive, timely, and compliant receipt of product transfers from other licensed facilities.
- Qualified applicants are extremely detail-oriented and have an aptitude for comprehending compliance and the ability to adhere to a regulatory framework by creating, monitoring, and updating internal procedures as needed.
- Must follow all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objective.
- Effectively communicates inventory needs to the Facility Manager.
- Encourage and maintain an environment of high integrity to optimize product quality, efficiency and compliance.
- Must maintain a level of professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, reconcile inventory records as needed, manage and maintain extensive organized and compliant inventory records.
- Effectively communicates with the Facility Manager regarding inventory anomalies and how to avoid them.
- Identify inventory anomalies, troubleshoot, remediate issues, and update procedures to ensure the situation is isolated.
- Communicate resource and supply needs to the Facility Manager.
- Foster a positive and communicative work environment.
- Exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by the company and the state while handling cannabis.
- This position will be responsible and focused on process, procedure, and systems to ensure accurate and timely retail product inventory audit and controls.
- Assure compliance with state regulations by having a strong understanding of METRC rules.
- Ensuring that all data reported to METRC is timely, accurate, and compliant.
- Monitor stock levels on a variety of inventoried items.
- Perform weekly audits to ensure inventory is 100% accurate and satisfies physical representation per state rules and regulations.
- Write METRC SOPs and conduct internal training on them.
- Works closely with Director of Sales, and Sales Operations.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED. College Grads preferred.

- Ensure daily production schedule and goals set by Management/ Supervisor are met.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness of all packaging equipment, production areas, and sanitation practices concerning handling of product according to company procedures; reports any potential contamination to the Supervisor immediately.
- Document line inefficiencies and downtime to identify issues. Works in conjunction with others to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Maintain an accurate and compliant inventory management system.
- Accurately track all production metrics.
- Must be able to inspect and detect quality defects.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 years of kitchen/ production experience.
- Previous work experience in a high-volume production setting is preferred.
- No cannabis experience required.
- Possess a desire and willingness to learn.
- Team members will be cross trained in the production and packing departments.
- The ability to problem solve, prioritize, and multitask are critical.
