Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for several part-time Adjunct Instructor positions to teach online classes. Employment as an Adjunct faculty member is on a temporary basis. Employment is based on the need of the College from semester to semester. Must reside in and be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Mathematics
• Networking
• Patient Home Navigator (Bachelors Required)

• Philosophy

• Succeeding in College (Bachelors Required)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach course(s) assigned to you by following the material provided by the dean’s office or the director of your program
• Answer student inquiries (from class or via email) within a reasonable timeframe (24-48 hours is standard)
• Grade students’ performance fairly and to the College’s standards & policies
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to support and motivate students
• Must have a flexible schedule from semester to semester

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• All disciplines require a Master’s Degree unless otherwise noted (or a Master’s Degree plus 18 graduate credit hours within assigned discipline)
• Experience working in the field is required
• Previous teaching experience is preferred
• Experience using instructional technology is required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Excellent teaching skills and the ability to interact effectively with students both in and out of the classroom
• Ability to communicate well, both verbal and in writing
• Ability to motivate students in a positive and professional manner
