Deseret Wellness is seeking a Part-Time Staff Pharmacist to cultivate and maintain a patient-first, compliant, and team-oriented culture. We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about helping patients find alternative therapies and relief for their chronic health conditions.
Our ideal candidate has extensive experience in a Pharmacy retail environment, good attention to detail, and great communication skills for interaction with a diverse array of patients and employees.
The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for consulting new patients via telehealth and in-person, and dispensing recommendations to our patients while strictly adhering to Department of Health regulations. The Staff Pharmacist plays an integral role in ensuring the pharmacy’s ability to acquire and retain patients through a best-in-class experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide face-to-face consultation to all new patients regarding cannabis as a medicine and how it may help their qualifying condition as well as potential risks.
- Reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager.
- Comply with strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform periodic inventory audits.
- Develop familiarity with and maintain the Department of Health mandated Inventory Control System software.
- Ensure proper sanitary and hygienic conditions throughout the Medical Cannabis Pharmacy.
- Determine dosing parameters for patients if not provided by Qualified Medical Professional (“QMP”) - patient’s recommending medical professional.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all available medical cannabis therapies, products, delivery methods and strains including those in inventory and outside of inventory.
- Ensure ongoing personal compliance with Utah’s Medical Cannabis Act regulations.
- Opening and closing the Medical Cannabis Pharmacy.
