Position Summary:
Choice Extraction Inc. (C.E.I.) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to execute daily tasks in the laboratory which include but are not limited to the operation of state-of-the-art lab equipment, complete production assignments and product formulations, assist in raw material processing, perform at a high level of accuracy and precision, uphold C.E.I. quality goals, and more. In general, the responsibilities of this position are diverse, very engaging, and require critical thinking. This position is versatile and depending on the qualifications & skills of the applicant, room for growth is always available. Applicants for this position can expect work to be similar to experiences found in the cannabis industry. The right candidate will enjoy working in a busy environment with an attention to detail, have a strong work ethic, and have a desire to learn and grow.
Responsibilities Include:
- Apply proper technique to handling various instruments found in the laboratory in addition to glassware, utensils, and raw materials.
- Prepare solutions via compounding raw materials for products.
- Perform quality checks before, during, and after product compounding.
- Verify and communicate completion of production assignments and make appropriate entries into formulation logs.
- Retain samples of formulated products at different points of formulation.
- Maintain the validity and proper working order of various lab instruments and equipment, to ensure calibration requirements are met.
- Receive cross-training in various departments, including post-production processes to help finalize product movement to inventory, and refinement processes such as supercritical CO2 extraction, and distillation.
- Assist in various manufacturing processes as directed by management, in compliance with C.E.I. standards for quality & safety.
- Work with other lab technicians to ensure that all quality protocols are met and production assignments are done in a timely fashion.
- Carry out general laboratory housekeeping/cleaning duties
- Be courteous, friendly, and professional with customers and co-workers
General Laboratory & Warehouse expectations:
C.E.I. has expectations of every employee that is materially involved in the laboratory which include the following items.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in all designated PPE-required areas & workstations
- Clean and sanitize working surfaces, glassware, storage vessels, and tools used according to processing and/or formulation SOPs, and on a daily basis
- Appropriately handle any hazardous material in adherence to all applicable SOPs
- Validate the status of all tools & instruments between processing, formulation, and post-production equipment to be in sufficient working order prior to starting each manufacturing order and before the end of each shift
- Warrant the safety of oneself & others by maintaining a safe and orderly work environment, and report any unsafe or hazardous work conditions to management
Job Requirements:
- Must have received at the least a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting and/or walking for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and manage, prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing, team environment
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information obtained from manufacturing orders, SOPs, safety-data sheets or other documents
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivation & eagerness to learn and improve

Position Summary:
Choice Extraction Inc. (C.E.I.) is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help expedite the movement of product between departments, ensure that the warehouse is adequately stocked with new inventory, and assist in the labeling & packaging of goods. The nature of work for the Warehouse Associate is like an assembly line, but duties will carry over in other areas of the warehouse & laboratory. Depending on the qualifications of the applicant, this position is versatile and room for growth is always available.
Applicants for this position can expect work to be similar to experiences found in the cannabis industry. The duties include packaging, sealing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment, inspecting product to validate its conformance to quality standards outlined by C.E.I., validating inventory of certain laboratory, manufacturing, and packaging materials, moving product between the laboratory, warehouse, and shipping department, and keeping a clean & tidy workstation.
The right candidate will enjoy working in a busy environment with attention to detail & a strong work ethic.
