We work with top cultivation companies and hemp farmers from within the state of Utah, processing locally-grown biomaterial and refining it via ethanol and solventless extraction methods. Description
Boojum Group is looking for individuals to assist us with manufacturing our products. This position will be responsible for labeling, packaging, and handling products according to state and federal regulations. Work may be repetitive and tedious so having excellent attention to detail is a must! This will be a part time position requiring schedule flexibility. Opportunity for full-time employment and advancement available after the initial trial period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Following the production schedule.
- Keeping precise and clear records
- Bottling and packaging products
- Operating standard lab equipment
- Labeling products
- Order fulfillment
Requirements:
- MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE
- Must be able to pass a background check with
- No felonies
- No drug-related offenses since 2018
- Perform duties with patience, intention and efficiency.
- Display professional and clean presentation and wear appropriate attire when in the laboratory or when representing the company.
- Devote full effort to job responsibilities during work hours.
- Pay attention to detail.
- Report to work as scheduled.
- Contribute to building a positive team dynamic
- Maintain company confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- An interest in cannabis science and its ability to help Utah patients
- Ability to follow directions, including SOPs and oral instructions
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing, team environment
- Good decision-making, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Acute attention to detail
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma required
Technical Skills
We will provide training on relevant equipment and processes.
Applicant must:
- Follow policies and procedures
- Be able to communicate clearly and informatively in writing
Mathematical Skills
- Must be able to do simple mathematical equations, including calculating percentages and working within the metric system
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and/or move around the facility for a full 8-hour shift.
Schedule:
- Starting on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM - 5 PM
- Opportunity for Monday through Friday (full-time) after trial period
Salary:
- Starting at $15/hr

Job Description:
Lab technicians are an integral part of biotech and laboratory operations. Maintaining a steady supply chain, with consistent quality and production output is imperative for success. The responsibility of carrying out day-to-day operations such as running our processing equipment and implementing quality control measures set forth by the company rests on the shoulders of our lab technicians.
It is important that our lab technicians are not only diligent in their processes, but are also educated and passionate about the cannabis industry and willing to collaborate with team members to develop new methods that improve on production efficiencies, increase daily output, and expand on our product offerings.
Your three major concerns are:
- Consistency
- Quality
- Quantity
Schedule:
- 2 month trial period. Positions start as part time, 2 to 3 days a week and may become full time as employees are trained on lab protocol and procedures.
- Full Time positions available for the right candidate
- Hourly Pay DOE
- Office hours are 9AM to 5PM, and lab duties consist of 8 hour shifts, as needed.
- Our facility operates 7 days a week, so candidates must be available for occasional weekend shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate scientific equipment, including but not limited to: Rotary Evaporators, Ethanol Extraction Equipment, Short Path Distillation Systems, Balances, Vacuum Pumps, Filling Machines, and more.
- Ensure laboratory safety guidelines and good laboratory practices are followed at all times
- Follow lab SOPs to process plant material into extracts.
- Assist in following SOPs to manufacture CBD and medical cannabis products and contribute to the assembly line.
- Keep precise and accurate data on all processing and manufacturing completed as well as enter in data to the appropriate tracking systems.
- Work with the COO and office manager to ensure we are on track for all processing and manufacturing needs.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of all lab equipment.
- Work with the office manager to order, receive, and stock materials, supplies, inventories, and equipment for laboratory and general use.
- Clean up after each lab session by washing, and if necessary, sterilizing, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong work ethic emphasizing consistency, quality, and dependability
- Professional conduct and presentation
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent multitasking
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to follow detailed and specific instructions
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Able to work independently and safely
- Able to understand and follow laboratory safety procedures
- Must be comfortable working with industrial hemp and medicinal cannabis products
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Degree in biochemistry, chemical engineering, or other relevant scientific field
- Experience working in the legal cannabis industry
- Laboratory experience and training
- Experience with extraction and distillation
- Manufacturing experience
