CHEMISTRY - PROCESS, LAB TECH, ORGANIC SYNTHESIS AND R&D (pharma, food, cannabis, chemicals)

Background and Qualifications:

We are hiring again for several different positions ranging from entry level to highly experienced and credentialed pharmaceutical professionals.

In general, candidates for any role will:

Have 3+ years of direct, hands-on chemistry experience: process, isolation, separation, purification, work-ups, crystallization, distillation, biosynthesis, extraction

Be safety, process, team, continuous improvement, and learning-oriented

Demonstrate curiosity and motivation in prior positions and interested in developing or enhancing their working knowledge of the labile and tricky nature of cannabinoids and complex plant oil

Have appropriate academic and private industry credentials - the level depending on the position with a minimum of a BS in Chemistry, preferably with an emphasis on organic chemistry; actual process and research chemistry experience is a key requirement; chemical engineers with a bias towards chemistry; self-taught, natural chemists

Substantiate their past success and ability on a multi-disciplinary team

Be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment

These positions on PPM’s team are NOT a fit for purely analytical, or academic chemists.

Private industry experience, particularly at a small or medium size pharmaceutical company or at a CMO/CDO, is ideal.

For early career candidates, we can promise more doing and learning, and responsibility and experience, than you will get at a large or established company.

For mid and senior career level candidates, a clear self-awareness of how you will contribute will be a focus of our interview process. For example, at this point in your career, do you want to contribute as a brilliant bench chemist using your gifted synthesis skills and successes OR primarily as an inspiring manager of research teams and projects OR a scale-up and development (to 1-10kg scale initially) leader - we probably can find a place on our team as we execute our plan and build on our leadership position in the non-psychotropic cannabinoids industry, and migrate in the direction of pharma.

Working hours are Monday to Friday but based on deadlines, extra time or weekend work may be required – we are in a global race of discovery and commercialization of cannabinoid ingredients.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience, anticipated contribution and performance. For senior team members, a performance-based comp plan will be custom structured.
