Prime Alternative Treatment Centers of New Hampshire is looking for someone to join our Cannabis Infused Products (CIP) team, as a CIP Technician. This position is based in Peterborough, NH. You will spend your days working with the CIP Supervisor to create all the Edibles we offer, as well as keeping the CIP Department clean. The CIP Technician position requires great attention to details while being able to multi-task. The primary responsibilities include producing CIPs, portioning CIPs, and cleaning. You will be an integral part of the CIP team and be involved in everything from learning to formulate products to helping with new Product Development.
All candidates must be at least 21 years old and be able to pass a criminal background check.. The ideal candidate will have: reliability, experience working in kitchens, a desire to learn, the ability to pay attention to details, be willing to go the extra mile, and want to make the overall team stronger. A culinary degree, experience in baking, experience with chocolate/candy making, or cannabis industry experience are all helpful extras.
This is a Full-Time position, and you would work Monday through Friday, roughly 7a to 3:30p with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. There is an occasional, 3-hour weekend shift roughly once every 6 weeks.
Below is a general summary of the CIP Technician position.
Essential Duties:
- Follow all State mandated regulations pertaining to the production of Cannabis Infused Products (CIPs) and operations within the licensed facility.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment:
- Remove trash from the CIP room daily and dispose of properly.
- Sweep and Mop the CIP room daily.
- Kitchen station setup, clean-up, and sanitation throughout production.
- Daily Washing of all pots, pans, etc. that are dirty.
- Properly use and store all equipment, ingredients, and supplies.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment, ingredients, and supplies.
- Maintain effective communication with the CIP Supervisor, reporting any concerns immediately.
- o In the event the CIP Supervisor is not available, the Director of Production should be consulted.
- Produce CIPs as needed and according to SOPs.
- Assist in the kitchen production/workflow of large batches of cannabis-infused products.
- Assist in the creation of a wide variety of new confectionery concepts and formulations.
- Maintain a basic working knowledge of all departments and procedures in the Production Facility that may be relevant to CIP.
o i.e. How to pack CIPs.
- Fill in log forms as needed.
o i.e., Refrigerator Temperature Log Sheet.
- Document all production through use of company logs, forms, and reports.
- Execute recipes and handle production of infused edible products from start to finish: scaling, mixing, portioning, and baking.
- Assist with new recipe development.
- Work as part of a team to meet production deadlines and goals as set by management team.
- Weigh ingredients as needed for SOPs.
- Create CIPs as scheduled, following the correct SOP.
- Weigh and package completed CIPs as required, following the correct SOP.
- Complete any other daily and periodic duties assigned as necessary to ensure the efficient. and correct operation of the CIP department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required skills/Abilities
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to follow kitchen operations independently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 2 years of previous kitchen experience – doesn’t have to have any experience with cannabis but must have desire to enter industry.
- Regular and Reliable Attendance required.
- Knowledge of how baking ingredients work together and how they can be used in creative ways.
- Confident culinary techniques and skills.
- ServSafe certified a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically capable of standing for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Minimum Compensation for this position is $15.00 an hour, with potential for more for the right candidate.
