BudTender/Delivery Specialist Job Description

Our budtenders/Delivery Specialist work at the storefront and represent the dispensary. Budtenders are responsible for educating consumers about the effects, benefits, and overall experience of cannabis products. In this role you will serve as important guides to using cannabis products, and tailor their customer and patient service to all levels of experience.

Budtenders/Delivery specialist have a number of responsibilities in the dispensary. Chief responsibilities include:

• Acting as the face of the dispensary, greeting customers.

• Facilitating the sale.

• Educating customers about a variety of cannabis products, including flower, edibles, and concentrates.

• Educating themselves on new products, strains, changes in policy, and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of service to customers.

• Weighing and packaging product as needed.

• Providing recommendations on cannabis products based on customer requests.

• Maintaining patient information and proper records (if at a medical dispensary).

• Staying abreast of any changes in state and federal law to ensure compliance.

• Advising customers on proper safety measures to follow when consuming cannabis.

• Verifying proper identification and paperwork from customers.

• Assisting in various dispensary operations, including operating the cash register and maintaining hygienic conditions.

• Delivering goods to customers as needed. Deliveries are done in the company vehicles.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• May be required to stand for long periods of time.

• May involve some repetitive motions.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers.

• May come in contact with cannabis.

• May be asked to use warehouse equipment.

• Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.

• May be required to drive company vehicle so clean driving record is required for insurance purpses.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
