Cannabis Barista Assistant Manager Jobs

Smokey's Pipe and Coffee is now hiring an experienced barista for an Assistant Manager position (30-40 hrs/week, PM shift)

A Sales Associate/Cashier/Barista, is responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process. Their duties include, preparing food, preparing drinks, greeting customers when they enter the store, helping customers navigate the menu, helping customers find specific products or showing them how to use them and ringing up customer purchases on the POS register.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Welcoming customers into the store
• Staying knowledgeable about our range of products
• Explaining to customers the best products for their needs
• Recommending related products to increase customers’ options and enrich the shopping experience
• Explaining the benefits and functions of products, method of preparation and how to use them to achieve the best results
• Accepting, preparing and processing orders, operate the POS register and resolve returns issues
• Promoting special sales, offers and awareness of store loyalty program

The Assistant Manager performs all of the above, in addition to ensuring Smokey’s brand standards are being adhered to by all cafe staff members’ in their day to day operations and work flow.

Skills and qualifications:

• ORGANIZED AND PROACTIVE
• MINIMUM 5 years prior work experience, preferably in customer service/hospitality
• MINIMUM 1 year experience as barista/cafe cook
• Knowledge of products carried
• Excellent sales and communication skills
• Working knowledge of POS payment systems
• Ability to focus and stay on task
• Ability to multi-task during fast-paced work hours
• High school diploma or GED
