The Sales/Wholesale Account Manager will collaborate with Manufacturing, Retail, Marketing and Operations Departments and is responsible for selling in house, branded products to Retail clientele at the external wholesale level. Sales/Wholesale Account Managers analyze selling trends, distribution strategies, pricing of products, and quality of service to help ensure consistent market penetration throughout Massachusetts. This position will help the company achieve maximum sales growth and account penetration by making sales calls, visiting retail clients, demonstrating the product, meeting, or exceeding sales quotas by keeping track of customer orders/shipments, and will manage manifest creation and logistics all while developing lasting relationships with our clients, as well as staying compliant with State and local laws, rules, and regulations. The Sales/Wholesale Account Manager operates with direct supervision from the CEO.
Tasks and Responsibilities -
· Generate sales revenue through new account acquisition and management of existing accounts.
· Work directly with the CEO and Director of Operations to develop and implement a highly effective sales strategy.
· Establish clear, targeted sales goals and monitor progress-to-goal regularly.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach and develop an A Player wholesale sales team
- Build out market sales strategies and tactics to achieve financial, customer and market goals
- Develop and maintain effective customer and market relationships
- Grow sales by working directly with wholesale customers to identify needs and provide full scope business solutions
- Serve as the operational liaison between the Sales Team and internal partners including Marketing, Logistics, Cultivation, Marketing, IT, Customer Service, Finance and Planning
- Increase depth and breadth of product portfolio distribution
- Improving the marketability of products through shelf management, display position and price point management
- Conduct reviews of sales activities and effectiveness to identify and solve performances gaps ensuring delivery of sales goals
- Develop and manage all tools necessary for “go to market” and daily business management
- Develop and distribute standardized reporting tools to communicate progress against established sales goals
- Work with team on company sales presentations to buyers, assist with account targeting and merchandising, mapping out account coverage maps and identifying and filling account coverage gaps
- Collaborate as a key partner with Marketing to drive strategy and ensure compliance by wholesale retail partners
- Maintain a deep understand of company’s products, company’s competitive position, market/ industry trends and changing business environment
- Represent the company at trade, community, and in-store events
- Constantly gather and synthesize customer/ consumer feedback within the market and develop recommendations and plans to meet customer/ consumer needs. Share learnings with internal stakeholders
- Follow through on issues deemed important to management and customers

- Solid financial acumen. Ability to comprehend basic financial reports

- Computer literate and tech savvy. CRM experience a plus
- Business savvy and strategic
- Ability to travel as needed

- Bachelor’s degree, four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of cannabis experience or commensurate experience in an emerging industry
- 5 years of experience leading a sales team
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
- Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
WORK SCHEDULE
45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure requirements of this position can be fully met.
