The facility produces cannabis flowers and products for companies involved in the adult-only, recreational-use market in Massachusetts. We achieve maximum growth and deliver the highest quality products through cutting edge hydroponic techniques.
We create and maintain many exclusive varieties and offer specific strain profiles on all products.
The Trimming & Packaging Associate is responsible for supporting and assisting the Quality Control
Manager and other Supervisor(s) in all aspects of cannabis product management within the facility.
The Associate will prepare cannabis products in preparation for distribution to retail sites, the primary activities will be the trimming and packing of bud produced in the facility. Additional tasks include counting, sorting, labeling, sealing, taping, boxing, and shrink wrapping. This position will be responsible for participating in fulfillment operations and activities within the facility following all established protocols including using various types of equipment, including assisting with inventory control of products in preparation for product sale or transfer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed
- Follow all procedures according to local and MA state regulations and company policies
- Maintaining operational excellence at all workstations/areas; maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Prepare, sort, organize, package, and label cannabis products in preparation for distribution to retail sites
- Trim plants
- Monitor, measure/ weigh, and record precise product weight and total units produced
- Package products according to the packaging standards
- Measure and document any potential product waste accurately

- Maintain quality assurance of all products in accordance with local and state regulations
- Utilize various heavy machinery to safely and efficiently produce and heat seal cannabis products

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Trimmer Associate will work to efficiently trim cannabis plants while creating minimal waste, resulting in a high-quality product that is compliant and ready for sale or processing. This person will be responsible for maintaining and following the Companies cultivation procedures.
- An understanding of the trimming standards and procedures, “wet trim vs dry trim”
- The process of packaging and labeling according to regulation and Jushi standards and procedures
- Able to operate and manage a scale successfully
- Able to carefully breakdown a plant
- A clear understanding of sanitary processes and procedures
- Knowledge and proficiency in ISO 9000/quality control standards to maintain the integrity of the Jushi products and services
- Hand trim flower from plants quickly and efficiently, while ensuring a quality production
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Sit for long periods while focusing on detail-oriented trimming, as well as post trim upkeep
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch, in addition to usable by-products Demonstrate proficiency with weights, measurements, and math
- Assure daily compliance with Company policies including but not limited to: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules

EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing/laborer experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the trimming and processing area
- Aid in the oversight of inventory of bulk and prepackaged products. Set up appropriate inventory levels, ensure proper quantity of packages/products to meet production requirements.
- Making sure all labeling and recording of inventory data into inventory tracking system is done in compliance with State and Company regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for Quality Control and maintenance of all trimming and packaging equipment.
- Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity levels through efficiencies in human capital, reduction of material waste, and elimination of downtime; continue to develop and improve safety program and best practices
- Produce appropriate weekly and monthly reports to Management.
- Take instructions well and help on tasks delegated by Management.
- Work in a fast-pace environment where major changes are made quickly
Other areas of responsibility may include the following lab packaging duties:
- Measuring, packaging and labeling products correctly and as directed
- Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance
- Full understanding on how to operate and clean oil filling machines
- Ability to keep accurate counts
- Ensure all paperwork and Electronic Batch Records are accurately completed
- Proper breakdown and cleanup of all areas
- Utilize Management for needed guidance and support
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

One Plant is looking for responsible Packaging Associates to fulfill positions of trust within our company. These highly-trusted individuals will be responsible for trimming, packaging, and labeling products in our processing center. You will be an integral representative of the company responsible for teamwork, professionalism, and efficiency of the in-house operations to increase profitability and client satisfaction.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- This is a second shift position: shift hours are M-F 3:00pm to 11:30pm
- Trim and package cannabis and cannabis derivative products using equipment to trim, fill, package and label cannabis flower / pre-rolls / edibles / vials with liquids / oils / etc.
- Apply and ensure accuracy of coordinating patient related compliance labels to outgoing orders
- Demonstrate a good attitude and strong initiative, along with a positive work ethic
- Be a team player
- Ongoing training on various machines and equipment
- Read, comprehend and follow explicit instructions
- Be flexible to work various shifts and available for overtime and/or weekend hours
- Requires use of personal protective equipment including eye wear, gloves, respiratory protection equipment and/or hearing protection

Requirements

Employees are expected to comply with company appearance clothing guidelines. Full-time employees work eight or more hours per day and workdays can vary, typically not including corporate holidays.
