We are seeking an experienced traveling superintendent for our Cleveland office.

What you will do:

• Prepare and communicate project schedule to plan upcoming activities and stay on target. Provides ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.


• Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction in accordance with design, budget and schedule.


• Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and submitting all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.


• Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.


• Ensures all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.


• Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work actives are conducted in the safest manner possible.


• Maintains the construction site clean and organized.


• Ensures appropriate machinery and tools are available to assigned construction workers and that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.


• Schedules and participates in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organizes final inspections for completed work.


• Monitors daily construction procedures to make sure that proper quality is achieved.


• Maintains consistent daily communication with project management staff to ensure all parties are informed of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.


• Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per company produces.

What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ construction supervisory experience in new construction and/or renovation/fit-out disciplines.


• The ability to travel and manage out-of-town work. Expected percentage of travel is 40 to 60%


• Advanced knowledge of associated trades in all aspects of commercial construction.


• The ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts and specifications.


• Knowledge of safety regulations.


• Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors and equipment.


• Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• The ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts and specifications.


• Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement of such

• Get jobs up and running by ensuring building permits are filed as well as coming back to close out jobs by performing punch lists and communicating status with Project Management.
• Step in to cover a job when needed due to scheduling conflicts, paid time off, etc.

What you will do:

• Prepare and communicate project schedule to plan upcoming activities and stay on target. Provides ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.


• Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction in accordance with design, budget and schedule.


• Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and submitting all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.


• Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.


• Ensures all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.


• Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work actives are conducted in the safest manner possible.


• Maintains the construction site clean and organized.


• Ensures appropriate machinery and tools are available to assigned construction workers and that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.

What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ construction supervisory experience in new construction and/or renovation/fit-out disciplines.


• The ability to travel and manage out-of-town work. Expected percentage of travel is 40 to 60%


• Advanced knowledge of associated trades in all aspects of commercial construction.


• The ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts and specifications.


• Knowledge of safety regulations.


• Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors and equipment.


• Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Diverse construction background including experience with Healthcare, Corporate Interiors, and Ground Up projects
• OSHA 30 Hour and First Aid/CPR certification is a plus

• Excellent communications skills and can work well with a wide range of personalities

We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and knowledgeable Superintendent to assist in the management of commercial construction projects.

This position requires creativity, initiative, teamwork, as well as superb communication skills, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. • A minimum of 3-10 years related experience as a superintendent in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor

This position requires at least 5 years’ experience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor. The Superintendent performs these critical tasks to ensure the successful completion of their respective projects in accordance with design, budget and schedule:

• Produces an accurate overall project schedule and material procurement schedule. Updates Weekly.
• Understands OSHA regulations, monitors and enforces safety practices to promote a safe workplace.
• Storm Water Operator certification preferred.

• Assists with the Change Management processes.
• Works with the Project Engineer for generation of submittal and RFI logs. Ensures expedited shop drawings and product data are reviewed and approved prior to releasing material. Submittals are reviewed, approved and distributed to all relevant trades.
• Coordinates weekly construction progress meetings and produces well documented meeting minutes for record distribution to the trades.
• Drives punch list process and project closeout documents (as-builts, O&M, owner training, etc.) with project team through to conclusion.
• Fosters and maintains positive relationships with the Inspection Agencies, Architect, Engineers, Interior Designers, Facility Staff, etc.
• Participates in Business Development activities as required (groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, fundraisers, and other social opportunities).
• Helps Project Manager with coordination of building permits, organizing the paperwork, and required inspections.
• Reviews and understands project drawings and specifications.
• Assists in the management of Job Cost reports; provides contract updates in a timely fashion.
• Assists in the as-built drawing process throughout project and O&M process at completion of project to assure all installations have been properly documented.

Position Summary

The Project Site Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination of all phases and trades for Greenhouse construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

The Project Site Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. Project Superintendent shall schedule all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, as well as ensure their completion of work within time allowed. The Project Site Superintendent shall be responsible for the coordination of work directed in the field, provide work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Conflicts or revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the project team (superiors, architect, engineer, consultant, owner) for mutual resolution, prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans. The Project Site Superintendent shall establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction. All request for monetary agreements must be communicated to the Senior Construction Manager for consideration prior to work performed.

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

• Monitor project schedules to ensure they are on track, within budget and allocated the necessary resources required to meet deadlines.


• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.


• Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.


• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.

Position Summary

The Project Site Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination of all phases and trades for Greenhouse construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

The Project Site Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. Project Superintendent shall schedule all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, as well as ensure their completion of work within time allowed. The Project Site Superintendent shall be responsible for the coordination of work directed in the field, provide work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Conflicts or revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the project team (superiors, architect, engineer, consultant, owner) for mutual resolution, prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans. The Project Site Superintendent shall establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction. The Project Site Superintendent does not have authorization to engage in monetary agreements (subcontracts, change orders, work authorizations).

All request for monetary agreements must be communicated to the Senior Construction Manager for consideration prior to work performed.

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

• Monitor project schedules to ensure they are on track, within budget and allocated the necessary resources required to meet deadlines.
• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
• Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Communicate with project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.

• Diverse construction background including experience with Healthcare, Corporate Interiors, and Ground Up projects
• OSHA 30 Hour and First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
• Excellent communications skills and can work well with a wide range of personalities

This is a unique opportunity where you act as the contractor, represent the Owner, and are part of an aggressive and well-funded growth strategy.

Henry Yandt Construction is looking to hire an experienced Superintendent to work with our skilled capable team managing projects up to $20 million. This position requires at least 5 years’ experience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor. This person will possess a sense of urgency and skills in relationship building, negotiation, budget management and a proficient technical understanding of safety requirements, construction contracts, drawings, methods, and equipment are required.

The Superintendent performs these critical tasks to ensure the successful completion of their respective projects in accordance with design, budget and schedule:

• Produces an accurate overall project schedule and material procurement schedule. Updates Weekly.
• Understands OSHA regulations, monitors and enforces safety practices to promote a safe workplace.
• Storm Water Operator certification preferred.

• Oversees scheduling and conducting all pre-installation meetings with required contractors and suppliers.

• Works with the Project Engineer for generation of submittal and RFI logs. Ensures expedited shop drawings and product data are reviewed and approved prior to releasing material. Submittals are reviewed, approved and distributed to all relevant trades.
• Coordinates weekly construction progress meetings and produces well documented meeting minutes for record distribution to the trades.
• Drives punch list process and project closeout documents (as-builts, O&M, owner training, etc.) with project team through to conclusion.

What you will do:

• Get jobs up and running by ensuring building permits are filed as well as coming back to close out jobs by performing punch lists and communicating status with Project Management.
• Step in to cover a job when needed due to scheduling conflicts, paid time off, etc.
• Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction in accordance with design, budget and schedule.


• Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and submitting all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.


• Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.


• Ensures all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.


• Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work actives are conducted in the safest manner possible.


• Ensures appropriate machinery and tools are available to assigned construction workers and that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.


• Schedules and participates in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organizes final inspections for completed work.


• Monitors daily construction procedures to make sure that proper quality is achieved.


• Maintains consistent daily communication with project management staff to ensure all parties are informed of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.


• Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per company procedures.

What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum of two (2) years construction supervisory experience in commercial construction.


• Project values up to $5 million+ are desirable.


• Advanced knowledge of associated trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish trades, layout, etc.


• The ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts and specifications.

This position requires at least 5 years’ experience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor. Henry Yandt Construction is looking to hire an experienced Superintendent to work with our skilled capable team managing projects up to $20 million. This position requires at least 5 years’ experience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor. This person will possess a sense of urgency and skills in relationship building, negotiation, budget management and a proficient technical understanding of safety requirements, construction contracts, drawings, methods, and equipment are required.

The Superintendent performs these critical tasks to ensure the successful completion of their respective projects in accordance with design, budget and schedule:

• Produces an accurate overall project schedule and material procurement schedule. Updates Weekly.
• Understands OSHA regulations, monitors and enforces safety practices to promote a safe workplace.
• Storm Water Operator certification preferred.
• Oversees scheduling and conducting all pre-installation meetings with required contractors and suppliers.

Position Summary

The Project Site Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination of all phases and trades for Greenhouse construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Project Site Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. We are seeking an experienced assistant superintendent at our Fort Myers office.

What you will do:

• Get jobs up and running by ensuring building permits are filed as well as coming back to close out jobs by performing punch lists and communicating status with Project Management.
• Step in to cover a job when needed due to scheduling conflicts, paid time off, etc.
• Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction in accordance with design, budget and schedule.


• Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and submitting all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.


• Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.


• Ensures all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.


• Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work actives are conducted in the safest manner possible.


• Ensures appropriate machinery and tools are available to assigned construction workers and that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.


• Schedules and participates in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organizes final inspections for completed work.


• Monitors daily construction procedures to make sure that proper quality is achieved.


• Maintains consistent daily communication with project management staff to ensure all parties are informed of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.


• Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per company procedures.

What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum of two (2) years construction supervisory experience in commercial construction.


• Project values up to $5 million+ are desirable.


• Advanced knowledge of associated trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish trades, layout, etc.


• The ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts and specifications.


• Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement of such


• Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors and equipment.


• Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), prior experience with scheduling software is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Oversee and report on daily construction site operations and activities

- Schedule subcontractors, consultants and vendors to achieve project schedule

- Schedule and coordinate delivery and installation of all materials and equipment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Holds field personnel accountable for all work performed while serving as a mentor and leader.
  
• Manages Superintendents and provides support during project planning, coordination, and site utilization
• Displays a thorough understanding of project specifications, contract documents, potential code violations, and inspections
• Exhibits an in-depth understanding of construction documents such as schedules, drawings, submittals and can identify potential issues with appropriate solutions
• Champions field safety standards to ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA standards
• Perform project site visits to ensure safety, quality control standards, and schedules are being executed in accordance with field processes
• Proactively collaborates with field and project management teams to resolve significant project issues effectively
• Collaborates with project teams during project kick-off meetings to strategize on various project topics such as pre-mobilization activities, logistics, layout, equipment, and labor utilization

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, related field or equivalent work experience preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a General Superintendent for a General Contractor
• At least 10+ years of experience as the lead project Superintendent in a variety of project sizes ranging from $500K to $50M+ with varying scopes and complexities
  
• Diverse construction background including experience with Healthcare, Corporate Interiors, and Ground Up projects
  
• Travel is required. Must be able to travel outside of Chicagoland area and or out-of-state in order to execute certain responsibilities
• OSHA 30 Hour and First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
• Technology savvy with regards to construction-related technologies
• Excellent communications skills and is able to work well with a wide range of personalities
  
• Ability to effectively lead a project team and work toward multiple deadlines at once
• A strong sense of urgency and initiative, and the ability to quickly study and react to complex issues, and resolve conflict effectively in a firm but fair manner
