Our operations team is seeking a Production Planner (Finite Scheduler!! This position will be part of 1906's manufacturing division and support production, business, and other processes in a team-based environment. This role is a hybrid (3 day on-site, 2 day remote) opportunity based in Denver, Colorado.
The Production Planner (Finite Scheduler) will help to ensure that the organization has the products and raw materials we need, when we need them. This position will have full responsibility for all mid- and long-term planning requirements for national 1906 operations. This role will deliver, and maintain, detailed process schedules for the manufacturing facilities, aligning with the High Level Schedule (HLS) and Standard Work models to ensure the manufacture of product is carried out in an efficient and in the correct sequence. Assuring on an aligned 4 week out production schedule and creating the 3-month forward plan for the facilities. Additionally, performing 6 months to 3-year capacity plans for the manufacturing locations & Key Ingredient/Packaging Suppliers. Operational Execution includes delivering fill rate of 98.5%, keeping inventories to acceptable levels to meet service, reduce obsolescence, and working with the plants & suppliers to optimize the schedule to reduce the conversion costs.
JOB DUTIES:
- Deliver a finite schedule of production activities, and liaise with the production teams to create, maintain, and communicate, the finite production schedule.
- Manage the flow of all production material and work orders, preventative maintenance using ERP and MRP tools
- Generate process models to identify capacity constraints and to model solutions; provide guidance when schedule attainment/inventory shortages/quality problems arise and communicate issues to team.
- Work with teams to create the 4 week out production schedule to deliver Case Fill Rate of at least 98.5% while not exceeding inventory targets and utilizing available labor pool.

- Update Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP) report to accurately reflect intended build of finished goods, incorporating S&OP aspects such as pre-building inventory to level load production and achieving Target weeks of Supply.
- Build and maintain strong ERP network relationships with key stakeholders to build knowledge, best practice to support and influence effective issue resolution or business improvement.
- Participate/Lead OE (Operation Excellence) initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ Years of proven Planning/Scheduling/Forecasting Experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
- Production experience in a cGMP manufacturing area
- Credible team player with good influence skills, particularly with regards to qualitative, abstract concepts
- Confidence and demonstrated success in problem resolution, resourcefulness, and the ability to quickly adapt to changes
- Advanced experience in Finite Scheduling/Process Modeling
- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a growth oriented and fast paced work environment
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and/or CPG food industry experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Economics
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in materials planning or procurement in a manufacturing environment
- Project management skills; ability to actively participate in and lead cross functional project teams.

The Affiliate Grower Scheduler will oversee the raw materials and Finish Good inventory. This position will work closely with the production and the Head Grower at Affiliate Grower sites.
Some of the Key Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all items on the facility by confirming and receiving in MRP system the deliveries of all raw materials (containers, tags, LINPTs and soil).
- Create a stock movement to the respective AG site of all items received.
- Attached copies of the packing slips in MRP.
- Purchase Orders. Verifying that the price and conversions are correct of each item listed.
- Resolve price or quantity.
- Plugs
- Finish Goods
- Look out 12 weeks to ensure all Raw Materials needed for production are scheduled to be on hand in time for Production and Distribution.
- Communication with Corporate Procurement team any issues to avoid delays.
- Participate on the Weekly Procurement/Facility Scheduler’s call. Wednesday’s at 9:00 AM.
- Participate on the Weekly Calls with Sales
- Provide Replenishment team with the Affiliate Growers availability update one a week or twice depending on the time of the year.
- Manage soil inventory and ordering with Seville sites.
- Run weekly Production Variance reports from PBI, planned vs produced. This would include all Affiliate Growers sites.
- Report Weekly production numbers to Operations
- Report Weekly from PBI Sales Planned vs Shipped, both units and Dollars.

SUMMARY
At a high level, the Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for the ERP & Metrc Platform as it relates to production inventory accuracy, BOM Set-up & maintenance, batch record processing, batch record issuance, and using material requirements planning to re-order materials as needed. A candidate with strong attention to detail, a background in reporting, excel advanced formulas, and inventory planning is of paramount importance to be successful in this role. This role will be integral to each brand or product being made within the facility - product categories being gummies, chocolates, pastilles (lozenges), pre-rolls, and more to come on board in the future.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes ERP reports to determine on-hand stock levels, and whether they are sufficient to complete future and current production.
- Plans production in the production scheduling system of the ERP.
- Provides Batch Production Records to the Manufacturing Manager.
- Provides pick orders/lists to inventory clerk for correct materials associated with manufacturing order.
- Confirms that Batch Production Records have been filled out appropriately once received back from production.
- Enters Batch Record info into the ERP for Proper Build of Finished Goods in the system and accurate deduction of Raw Materials from stock.
- Maintains and optimizes Batch Record Templates. Updates formulas as needed.
- Engages with co-packing brand partners on new product set-ups, item set-ups, and batch record templates.
- Understands and manages the accurate flow and record keeping of Metrc Package ID’s and the respective products throughout the facility.
- Enters data directly into Metrc as needed when ERP is not required or not available.
- Submits System Modification Requests to ERP company for custom business system needs.
- Trains other employees on ERP System as needed.
- Works with Manufacturing Manager to execute monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts.
- Performs other ad-hoc tasks related to systems and inventory control. This can also include helping with administrative tasks as needed by the business.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Non-Supervisory position.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to commute to our Palm Springs facility Monday – Friday, with typical hours being 9am – 530pm.
- Experience with advanced Excel formulas and reporting.
- Experience as a Materials Planner, Production Planner, Inventory Analyst, Demand Planner, Inventory Control Analyst Preferred. 2 years minimum preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing facility or other CPG products is a plus.
- Experience with Bill of Materials, Batch Records, MRP, ERP is preferred.

Role Summary:
The Production Scheduler reports to operations and is responsible for batch sequencing, lines labor optimization and flower utilization. He/She matches the weekly production plan by SKU and serves respected site. Works with Hub Team and Site managers and employees of production facility to ensure workflows align with production plan. Follows short term and long-term forecasts provided by the Hub Team based on product specifications, sales data and purchase orders to issue timely and cost-efficient work orders and plans.
Responsibilities...
- Uses the Cultivation Planner + Production Planner + Material Planner inputs and requirements to make a 1-2 week schedule for just the site.
- Prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and material requirements at the site level to ensure a controlled flow to meet production requirements on a daily basis.
- Develops and maintains reports relating to process, product and operation on-time performance. Advises management when on-time order delivery is in jeopardy.
- Works daily with peers and superiors developing the maturity of the production planning systems in support of business goals and a continuous improvement initiative.
- Correlates planning and scheduling of orders with process and labor availability to obtain optimum utilization of equipment, efficient allocation of labor, and on-time delivery of products.
- Evaluates production statistics and their impact to the production schedule.
- Reports major variances from plan to Hub Team and Plant Leadership along with a course correction action plan for managing issues as they arise.
- Revises and reschedules production work orders when necessary.
- Coordinates production materials, supplies, and sub-contracted orders through the purchasing department.
- Oversees process for physical counts of finished goods, raw materials, and work in process inventory, identifying and solving inventory variances, including the update of the inventory control system as requested
- Attends regular Operations and Supply Chain meetings to develop priorities which are in line with Hub Team.
- Analyzes complete work orders to verify labor and material posting, closing and retaining work orders.
- Using ERP or other company systems, report capacity required, including overtime needs, per build schedule and business planning.
- Participate in cost reductions and process improvement programs.
- Work pro-actively, on a daily basis, with supervisors, procurement and other departments to ensure schedules are maintained.
Education and/or Experience:
- Four or more years related experience and training in a production / manufacturing setting;
- AA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Project Management preferred

- Solid computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel as well as other business software
- Experience with manufacturing purchasing, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma or material management all a plus

The Role

JOB SUMMARY
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing all shift level schedules at the facility to satisfy customer demand within cost and capacity parameters for the Encanto Arizona facility. This position is a remote position with some travel to the facility (1-2 days per week). The Master Scheduler is a key contact for all functions across the broader organization by providing regular production and packaging plans consistent with capacity and Sales and Operations (S&OP) forecasting. This role will collaborate with management at both the site level and corporate level, to gather and use information to develop a scheduling and inventory plan that will meet critical business goals for cost and service.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Generate short-term plans (1-4 weeks) into a master schedule, daily, by facility, by resource, using systems and processes that support the organization's cost and service goals within available capacity.
- Work with other facilities to coordinate inventory levels
- Point of contact for all scheduling related questions and concerns at the facility
- Operations contact for sales menu consultation
- Maintain data in systems to facilitate inventory and capacity management, customer demand, and operational metrics.

- Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics against established targets, reviewing performance and capabilities to perform root cause analysis and offer corrective action.
- Work cross functionally with operations and other departments to resolve capacity challenges and production issues, offering alternative plans and solutions to meet facility needs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, Agriculture, or related field preferred

Attach copies of the packing slips to SAGE.
Purchase Orders. Verifying that the price and conversions are correct of each item listed.

There will be daily communication via phone and emails to all the AG sites.
This position's preferred location will be in New Summerfield. SAGE / PBI access will be set up at the Triple P Sessions location for accessing reports. Extensive training will be needed this summer to implement job duties for Fall and Spring 2022.
This position will require significant hours in season. Minimal travel to other facilities or the home office may be required for training. Other responsibilities will be added as deemed necessary and as processes evolve.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate both short-term and long-term production schedules.
- Coordinate with the Director of Cultivation and Director of Operations to forecast yields and use that to schedule production cycles.
- Creates, updates, and releases production estimates for each variety.
- Schedule rotation of set-backs to ensure maximum yield.
- Generates reports to analyze the productivity of the department(s).

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Develop schedules for customer orders
- Release, receive and process manufacturing orders
- Ability to understand demand trends and the level of risk associated with key product areas
- Monitor the production process and adjust schedules as situations require
- Serve as the subject matter expert for inventory, purchasing and manufacturing schedules

JOB SUMMARY

CORE JOB DUTIES
- Generate both short-term and long-term production plans into a master schedule, daily, by facility, by resource, using systems and processes that support the organization's cost and service goals within available capacity.
- Point of contact for all scheduling related questions and concerns
- Maintain data in systems to facilitate inventory and capacity management, customer demand, and operational metrics.
- Able to build systems and processes from scratch, working with management to implement
- Identifies opportunities for optimizing raw, WIP and finished good inventory levels
- Able to explain gaps to targets and remediation plans.
- Ensure full transparency to production plans by generating reports for upper management and facility front line personnel.
- Assist with projects that support inventory reporting and accuracy, allocating materials and movement of orders in short supply situations.
- Provide support for other operations functions as assigned and maintain competency in all processes and systems.
- Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics against established targets, reviewing performance and capabilities to perform root cause analysis and offer corrective action.
- Work cross functionally with operations and other departments to resolve capacity challenges and production issues, offering alternative plans and solutions to meet site needs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment, including production planning and scheduling, replenishment planning, demand planning or materials management required.
- Experience with using supply planning software, both operationally and understanding the concepts behind the tool
- Strong analytical and communication skills.

This role will collaborate with Operations Department managers and Supply Chain, to gather and use information in order to develop a scheduling and inventory plan that will meet critical business goals for cost and service.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Generate both short-term and long-term production and capacity plans into a master schedule using systems and processes that support the organization's cost and service goals.
- Maintain data in systems to facilitate inventory and capacity management, customer demand, and operational metrics.
- Assist with projects that support inventory reporting and accuracy, allocating materials and movement of orders in short supply situations.
- Provide support for other Operations functions as assigned and maintain competency in all processes and systems.
- Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics against established targets, reviewing performance and capabilities to perform root cause analysis and offer corrective action.
- Work cross functionally with operations and other departments to resolve capacity challenges and production issues, offering alternative plans and solutions to meet site needs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience in S&OP within a manufacturing environment, including production planning and scheduling, replenishment planning, demand planning or materials management required
- Experience with supply planning software
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable with up to 40% travel

JOB SUMMARY
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand and maintaining the minimum effective inventory necessary. The Master Scheduler is a key contact for all functions across the broader Supply Chain function by providing regular production plans consistent with capacity and sales and operations (S&OP) forecasting.
