Company Overview
Endless Distribution Company is the retail sales & marketing arm for the Endless Group, a cannabis start-up that sources, creates, and distributes highly potent, hemp-based products.
Endless Distribution Company partners with liquor stores and convenience stores to make our products available to the consumers who shop at those stores. Last year, America's in-store convenience & liquor store sales totaled over $400B across more than 170,000 different stores. Unlike most of retail, total convenience store revenue has been growing 3% per year in America.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sales Support Specialist to assist our Sales Executives in managing & growing their accounts. Day-to-day activities will involve (1) performing basic accounting tasks, (2) performing basic financial analysis, and (3) managing partner relationships by phone, text, & email.
We currently have 150+ retail trade partners in Missouri alone. Through your management of invoices & trade program payments, you will be intimately familiar with what these trade partners are buying from us and their relative sales volume.
You will leverage that familiarity to identify opportunities in our partners' businesses, then communicate those opportunities to our partners in a consultative manner that results in greater profitability for us and our retail trade partners.
What is Legals Hemp Flower? Our Products
Legals Hemp Company is the first brand of a planned portfolio of 10+ cannabis brands under our umbrella company, the Endless Group. Legals will be the first hemp flower brand to see state-wide distribution in Missouri, and the first hemp flower brand with true online payment processing.
Legals is a high-end brand with the look & feel of vintage liquor. The packaging consists of a borosilicate jar, a rubber-sealing bamboo top, and thick, textured labels.
The product itself looks like, smells like, and smokes like the cannabis everyone already knows. It has very high concentrations of CBD (16% to 21%), whereas 'the other cannabis' typically has less than 1%. Total active THC concentrations in Legals Hemp Flower are currently around .5% to .7%, but delta-9 THC concentrations are well below the legal limit of .3%.
Consumers choose to buy Legals Hemp Flower for three primary reasons: (1) they can't enjoy the other cannabis because they are subject to drug tests, (2) the other cannabis is too intense for them, or (3) they mix Legals with the other cannabis to balance out the THC with CBD, and to maximize the amount of THC that penetrates their blood-brain barrier.
Our flower is covered in trichomes, and often has red, yellow, and / or purple hues. We currently offer 4 strains: Secret Sauce, Elektra, Lifter Plus, and Sour Candy. Consumers can buy our flower in 1g PreRolls (ready-to-smoke), or they can buy our flower in jars (1g and 3.5g weights).
At the end of this month, we're launching our first edibles brand. Products under this brand will be totally hemp-derived, but they will offer THC contents comparable in potency to edibles you would find in a dispensary.
Position Support (Data & Technology)
The Endless Group is a joint venture between two very successful sales & marketing companies with a strong track record in cannabis. We are data-driven, and we are technology-driven. We are innovators.
Many companies make these claims today, so let's talk about what this means for you, tangibly.
We have every independently owned convenience & liquor store in our database, and mapped out in our territory sales CRM. You will always be able to see-- from the colors of the pins on your sales application's map-- where we stand with every partner and prospective partner.
Have we visited them before? If so, are they a no-go? Are they a 'maybe'? Are they a 'hot lead'-- almost ready to get started?
Our sales applications are all integrated: our inventory system, our CRM systems, and our automated partner communications system.
Retail Trade Partners can create accounts and / or order without our assistance through our website.
These are just a few examples of the way we as a company invest in technology to maximize the time you spend on high-impact activities only you can perform. This means greater earnings & less distractions for you, us, and our retail trade partners.
Position Support (Training)
You will work directly with our VP of Retail Sales and our CFO, as well as our fulfillment team in North Carolina and our sales executives.
Our training aligns more with what you will find at other start-ups than with large corporations. We want people who can and prefer to learn on-the-job. We'll teach you one-on-one how to execute on all of the core processes involved in this role, and we will be very available for questions & coordination of efforts.
While there exist many best practices in this role, which we will teach you, we also know that our people have styles that work amazingly for them personally.
We expect to learn from you, too. We know you will find ways to improve processes and we are all ears.
Compensation
This role pays a generous base salary plus commissions & performance incentives.
What you earn in total will be tied to the results that you help your retail trade partners produce. We have defined commission rates for all the re-orders and additional sell-ins that you drive.
If we need you to use your own vehicle for work purposes on occasion, you will be compensated $.58 per mile in addition to base salary & commissions.
Benefits
In addition to high cash compensation, employees enjoy (1) a flexible schedule with unlimited vacation & holidays, (2) a retirement plan, and (3) health benefits.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time role, but it is flexible. Core hours are weekdays from 9AM to 3PM. You choose whether to start at 9AM and finish later, or start early and finish at 3PM.
This is a remote-role, for now. We plan to open an office in St. Louis this year, so we are looking for candidates who are based in St. Louis.
Travel & time-off are considered unlimited. We trust our team to be wise & reasonable with vacations, holidays, and time-off.
What we are Looking for in CandidatesSpecifically for this role, we're looking for people with a demonstrable track record of success in customer-facing roles (ideally in account management or sales support). You should have experience performing basic accounting work, too. Experience with any of Quickbooks, Zoho suite, Google Drive, & ActiveCampaign is a plus.
Company-wide, here's what we think about...
- Generally speaking, we do not care where you went to college, or even if you went to college. We certainly do not care about grades
- We look for people who are exceptionally kind and polite-- you should be good at initiating uncomfortable conversations as necessary, and remaining kind, considerate, and polite throughout
- We look for strong communicators. We want people who listen first. People who listen well-- not just to what people say, but what they communicate in body language and tonality-- can identify what people want & what people need to understand, then address those things clearly & concisely
- We look people who are independent & innovative. Your market will be unique, and your on-the-job experiences will be unique, too. You should be confident in your ability to identify problems & produce solutions
- We look for people who efficient with time & resources. You should be able to analyze data, to grasp the big picture, and to identify what action items are high impact and/or high urgency, and what action items are not
- We look for people who are results-oriented. More specifically, we want people who are confident they will produce results, and want to be compensated in accordance with the results they produce
- We look for people who are autonomous. We do not babysit. We want you to be organized with your time & market. We want you to be able to make good decisions with little direction, and let your results reflect your competency in these regards
If you've read this far, we're glad you're interested enough to take the time. Be sure to take the cover letter / additional details fields seriously because we get a lot of candidates, and those fields really help us filter candidates before even reading their resume.
Background Checks & Drug Testing
We background check all candidates prior to hire. Candidates will also be drug tested prior to hire, but testing positive for cannabis use will not disqualify you.
