Research Engagement & Compliance (REC) is a team within the Office of Research that provides oversight, resources, training, and education for the following research compliance issues: • Conflict of Interest • Undue Foreign Influence • Research Funding Classification • Dual Use Research of Concern (DURC) • Cannabis Research • Sponsored Research IT Security
We are looking for innovative, driven, creative, solutions-focused, collaborative, analytical individuals who will help develop our existing programs, respond to new emerging research compliance areas, and join our growing team. Using research compliance concepts, applies organization policies and procedures to review and / or pre-review financial conflict of interest and other research-related disclosures. Works independently in most cases without a great deal of supervision or oversight for routine or standard assignments. NOTE: This is primarily a remote position. Infrequently, this position may need, or be required, to work on campus.
Compensation Range:
$53,500 - $66,050.00

Required:
1-3 years of job-related experience.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Independence, planning and decision-making abilities to complete assigned duties. Excellent customer service skills, pleasant, helpful and patient. Proficiency with computers, including the ability to operate personal computer software with sophisticated retrieval, storage, and merging capabilities. Time management skills and the flexibility to accommodate changing priorities in unit. Ability to work in a team-oriented setting, to prioritize work, and to follow through on routine assignments with minimal direction. Effective, efficient and tactful oral and written communication skills. Ability to solve problems, issues; listen, interpret and confirm understanding of others' communications; and be objective. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and work with frequent interruptions.
Preferred:
Relevant compliance certification (if applicable) preferred.
Knowledge of relevant Federal and State regulations, and policies.
