- Plan and prioritize operations and distribution to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Investigate and resolve problem situations affecting scheduled production. Taking the necessary action. Conduct monthly production risk analysis and action plan.
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.). Update, keep, and share records and information.
- Collaborating with internal business leaders to capture requirements, perform fit-gap analyses, and creating functional and technical specifications for ERP configuration and enhancements when necessary.
- Participates and/or coordinates required testing/validation of ERP system enhancements and fixes, creating and/or executing the test cases including problem determination and resolution.
- Own the analysis of the ERP data.
- Ensure Patient/Customer data is never transferred outside of the system and the correct policies are in place, liaise with vendors to support this requirement.

Role Summary:
The Production Planner reports to operations and is responsible for batch sequencing, lines labor optimization and flower utilization. He/She matches the weekly production plan by SKU and serves respected site. Works with Hub Team and Site managers and employees of production facility to ensure workflows align with production plan. Follows short term and long-term forecasts provided by the Hub Team based on product specifications, sales data and purchase orders to issue timely and cost-efficient work orders and plans.

- Uses the Cultivation Planner + Production Planner + Material Planner inputs and requirements to make a 1-2 week schedule for just the site.
- Prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and material requirements at the site level to ensure a controlled flow to meet production requirements on a daily basis.
- Develops and maintains reports relating to process, product and operation on-time performance. Advises management when on-time order delivery is in jeopardy.
- Works daily with peers and superiors developing the maturity of the production planning systems in support of business goals and a continuous improvement initiative.
- Correlates planning and scheduling of orders with process and labor availability to obtain optimum utilization of equipment, efficient allocation of labor, and on-time delivery of products.
- Evaluates production statistics and their impact to the production schedule.
- Reports major variances from plan to Hub Team and Plant Leadership along with a course correction action plan for managing issues as they arise.
- Revises and reschedules production work orders when necessary.
- Coordinates production materials, supplies, and sub-contracted orders through the purchasing department.
- Oversees process for physical counts of finished goods, raw materials, and work in process inventory, identifying and solving inventory variances, including the update of the inventory control system as requested
- Attends regular Operations and Supply Chain meetings to develop priorities which are in line with Hub Team.
- Analyzes complete work orders to verify labor and material posting, closing and retaining work orders.
- Using ERP or other company systems, report capacity required, including overtime needs, per build schedule and business planning.
- Participate in cost reductions and process improvement programs.
- Work pro-actively, on a daily basis, with supervisors, procurement and other departments to ensure schedules are maintained.
Education and/or Experience:
- Four or more years related experience and training in a production / manufacturing setting;
- AA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Project Management preferred

SUMMARY
At a high level, the Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for the ERP & Metrc Platform as it relates to production inventory accuracy, BOM Set-up & maintenance, batch record processing, batch record issuance, and using material requirements planning to re-order materials as needed. A candidate with strong attention to detail, a background in reporting, excel advanced formulas, and inventory planning is of paramount importance to be successful in this role. This role will be integral to each brand or product being made within the facility - product categories being gummies, chocolates, pastilles (lozenges), pre-rolls, and more to come on board in the future.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes ERP reports to determine on-hand stock levels, and whether they are sufficient to complete future and current production.
- Plans production in the production scheduling system of the ERP.
- Provides Batch Production Records to the Manufacturing Manager.
- Provides pick orders/lists to inventory clerk for correct materials associated with manufacturing order.
- Confirms that Batch Production Records have been filled out appropriately once received back from production.
- Enters Batch Record info into the ERP for Proper Build of Finished Goods in the system and accurate deduction of Raw Materials from stock.
- Maintains and optimizes Batch Record Templates. Updates formulas as needed.
- Engages with co-packing brand partners on new product set-ups, item set-ups, and batch record templates.
- Understands and manages the accurate flow and record keeping of Metrc Package ID’s and the respective products throughout the facility.
- Enters data directly into Metrc as needed when ERP is not required or not available.
- Submits System Modification Requests to ERP company for custom business system needs.
- Trains other employees on ERP System as needed.
- Works with Manufacturing Manager to execute monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts.
- Performs other ad-hoc tasks related to systems and inventory control. This can also include helping with administrative tasks as needed by the business.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Non-Supervisory position.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to commute to our Palm Springs facility Monday – Friday, with typical hours being 9am – 530pm.
- Experience with advanced Excel formulas and reporting.
- Experience as a Materials Planner, Production Planner, Inventory Analyst, Demand Planner, Inventory Control Analyst Preferred. 2 years minimum preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing facility or other CPG products is a plus.
- Experience with Bill of Materials, Batch Records, MRP, ERP is preferred.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to be efficient with minimal supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a manufacturing and distribution setting, with most of the work for this role happening in the administrative area of the building. Typical days will require hours of sitting, with some walking throughout the facility. Use of office equipment, such as but not limited to laptops & monitors, Label printers, tablets, phones, filing cabinets, fax machine, printer, and copier.

The Physical demands represented here must be able to be met by the employee for successful performance of this role. This role will require hours of hours of sitting, with some walking throughout the facility. The employee may be required to lift boxes, product, bags, components, and ingredients.

Position Description:
The Production Planner is responsible for the coordination of production functions such as planning, retail and wholesale as well as raw material planning. In this role, the Production Planner will analyze sales data and liaise with sales & marketing to meet forecasted demand while working with the Director of Operations on inventory and raw material. The Production Planner will be an integral part of the day to day production operation and to the senior leadership/management team. This position will directly report to the Director of Operations with a dotted line to the Director of Finance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assist in scheduling production, based on retail channels sales trends
- Assist in scheduling production for wholesale (B2B) orders
- Maintain the grow plan for both the Cultivation and Corporate teams
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams on upcoming promotions as it pertains to inventory
- Responsible for maintaining inventory forecasts on a rolling 12-month basis
- Liaise with the purchasing department on raw material requirements
- Work with the Webster Supply Chain team in ensuring packaging supplies are always available based on forecast
- Mange and report data out of company's ERP system (Biotrack) to senior management on sales and production trends
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing goals for departments
- Work with the DO to coordinate and analyze daily operations

- Develop ROI assessment on high dollar expenses

ROLE SUMMARY:
We are searching for a talented Production Planner to assist in organizing and setting weekly and monthly production schedules. This position will be key to realizing long term inventory goals and will regularly work with other departments to align and ensure the processing plan is realistic, optimal, and executed correctly.
To succeed in this role, you should be professional, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, and cannabis processing experience specifically is preferred.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set weekly production plans for processing division.
- Sequence the production lines daily to optimize efficiency and minimize changeovers
- Track and Monitor daily volumes planned and released to verify variances
- Work together with Demand Planner and Material Planner to optimize availability
- Drive the operational shift hours for production departments
- Align multiple departments to keep plan on track and updated as needed.
- Complete reports to communicate status of planning/schedule as necessary.
- Contribute to long term supply chain improvements.
- Interface with external departments to bring new products to market.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend action plans.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year Business Degree or related field preferred
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
