Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)
- Performs plant and crop maintenance using standard procedures including but not limited to, cloning, transplanting, feeding, trimming and pest management

The Cultivation Associate is responsible for providing cultivation and maintenance support including; the day-to-day upkeep of all plants, harvest, pest management monitoring and treatment, while maintaining a safe work environment. The position is physically demanding and job duties will vary from day-to-day.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed at a busy outdoor cannabis facility. The outdoor/indoor facility is exposed to the natural elements. Workers should be prepared for fluctuating cold mornings and hot afternoons weather, sun exposure, and allergies. Work may be stressful at times and may include dealing with difficult people and/or law enforcement. Available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events during harvest periods is required.

- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following OSHA regulations, organization standards and legal regulations.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
- Field preparation, such as weed whacking, cutting cover crop and tilling into soil, and moving pots of soil.
- Filling pots with soil.
- Cleaning/Sanitizing trellis, hoses, irrigation lines and garden equipment etc.
- Tilling and amending pots with dry fertilizers.
- Running irrigation lines.
- Transplanting crop.
- Ensure proper care of product through curing, trimming, packaging, etc. as needed.
- Frequently maintain cleanliness and sanitization of cultivation and production zones, tools and equipment.
- Follows crop production plan to include an integrated pest management plan (IPM) best practices.
- Develops proficiency and follows safety practices with the operation of equipment, fertigation systems, environmental controls, water distribution system, security system, etc., which includes performing preventive maintenance tasks; troubleshooting malfunctions; assisting with repairs.
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
- Maintain set quality control on medicine.
- Assists with the execution of harvest plans to include drying and curing.
- Inspect product/medicine for mold, disease or other abnormalities and report to manager.
- Ensure proper care of medicine/product through trimming, watering and monitoring environment.
