Gallery Media Group is looking for an entry level writer/podcast contributor to join the ONE37pm team full-time for a fixed term residency as our News and Culture podcast resident.

A rapidly growing digital media company, Gallery Media Group includes women's lifestyle brand, PureWow, which is dedicated to making a woman's life more beautiful, manageable, and efficient; ONE37pm, a men's lifestyle brand at the intersection of culture, style, music and sports, seen through the lens of entrepreneurship; and a collection of premium podcast shows that includes the GaryVee Audio Experience, Card Talk, Mom Brain, Royally Obsessed and The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel. Our mission is to "make positivity louder."

The ideal candidate for this role would be looking to kick start a career in digital publishing/content creation.

Working directly with our editors, you will be responsible for contributing to ONE37pm's "7:31AM" podcast, a daily culture/news podcast which will cover all of the biggest current events in our verticals: sports cards, sports gambling, TV & movies, skateboarding, sneakers, fitness, streetwear, cannabis, proper football, esports, hip hop, basketball, MMA, NFT / Crypto, and more. You will be responsible for editing/contributing to a daily script and attending nightly recordings, in addition to assisting with social and editorial promotion of the podcast.

We are looking for somebody who lives and breathes news, culture, and everything in between. They should be passionate about social content creation and are a strong writer, as well as be comfortable behind a microphone.The position will be working remotely, with a view to potentially join the team in our New York office when the climate allows.

Responsibilities:

• Write/edit the script for the daily podcast, based on pitches from the internal team and our audience.
• Attend/read for daily podcast recordings.
• Monitor current events/social media to source and react to breaking news.
• Assist the social media team with promotion and distribution of the podcast and assets.

Skills and experience:

• You are a reliable, motivated, self-sufficient and fast worker
• Solid writing/editing skills and an eye for a great story
• Deep knowledge and understanding of internet culture
• Creative thinking and has tons of ideas
• Relevant internship experience (at a digital publisher or agency) is preferred
• Experience with CMS, SEO, social listening tools and/or analytics platforms is a bonus
• Experience with social management is a bonus
• Podcasting experience is a plus
• Willingness to work unorthodox hours, evenings and some weekends
