ROLE SUMMARY
The Maintenance Associate position provides on-site support to facilities Maintenance Manager. As a Maintenance Associate, you are responsible for completing assigned maintenance tasks involving basic installation, inspection, routine upkeep and repair of machines and equipment. Maintenance Associate’ may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments and Managers occasionally to meet our business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists
- Document and troubleshoot minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair and replacement
- Report all maintenance issues to Maintenance Manager
- Maintain record of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Perform custodial functions to clean and maintain the building both inside and outside
- Assist with the management of outside contractors for required service for the facilities and equipment
- Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws
- Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas
- Maintain the exterior of the facility. Pest management, painting, lawn care, snow removal, other duties as needed
- Immediately inform Maintenance Manager of any system discrepancies
- Work within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician that would be responsible for general upkeep and maintenance of the facilities equipment and spaces. Advanced indoor agriculture systems and processes are critical to the success of the business, and the maintenance associates role is important to achieve this goal. Expectations & Responsibilities:
+ Clean, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment such as:
- Heating and cooling systems
- Irrigation control systems
- Lighting systems
- Environmental control systems
- Infrastructure updates & projects
+ Infrastructure updates & projects.
- Assist with project tasks such as those assigned by the manager
+ Janitorial tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager such as:
- Cleaning and resupplying designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning)
+ Follow planned maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure maximum efficiency and life span of both production equipment and building systems
+ Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Skills and Qualifications:

- The Cannabis Maintenance Associate is responsible for custodial duties ensuring the entire facility is clean and running smoothly. WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is a hands on, custodial position in a cannabis production facility.

- Walking and working is done on both tile and concrete flooring.
- May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
- Repetitive motions include but are not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, and squatting on a daily basis. This role also requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.

The Role
The Senior Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the organization's buildings, ensuring that they meet legal requirements as well as health and safety standards. The Senior Facilities Associate will operate across the different operations teams, working on both a strategic and operational level to optimize the day-to-day operation flow, reporting status to the Fleet & Facilities Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW
- The Cannabis Maintenance Associate is responsible for custodial duties ensuring the entire facility is clean and running smoothly. The Maintenance Associate keeps all sanitation logs and custodial supplies inventory log up to date. Maintenance associates are key team members that keep the facility organized and clean so it can successfully operate and cultivate on a daily basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sanitize facility and grow rooms after a harvest.
- Follow daily and weekly sanitation schedules and maintains all sanitation logs.
- Responsible for stocking supplies in break room and restrooms and for keeping track of inventory of sanitation supplies.
- In depth cleaning of all facility areas including, sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down all surfaces.
- Maintain and empty all trashcans.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is a hands on, custodial position in a cannabis production facility.
- While performing the duties of this job, an associate regularly works in climate-controlled areas, such as coolers, restrooms, the break room, the dock area, and the shipping & main offices.
- Walking and working is done on both tile and concrete flooring.
- May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
- Repetitive motions include but are not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, and squatting on a daily basis. This role also requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.

NOTE: The facility contains confined spaces that may only be accessible by ascending/descending stairwells while traveling throughout building. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

About the Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Associate will support equipment and facility maintenance and services of the cultivation facility to ensure that the needs of the organization and its employees are met.
- Be able to complete general maintenance tasks in the facility, including, but not limited to: troubleshooting, repair, cosmetics, plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance tasks as directed.
- Be able to assist with maintaining each piece of equipment and system in the facility.
- Understand all systems within facility including, but not limited to, security, HVAC, plumbing, electric, fertigation, and Building Management Software (BMS).
- Troubleshoot issues with each piece of equipment and system in the building, incorporating knowledge of control systems and safety procedures.
- Maintain workspace, including proper organization of all tools and department supplies.
- Adhere to specific rules and regulations determined by the law and by the commission.
- Be aware of and comply with all safety and health regulations, including, but not limited to, hazardous materials (hazmat), personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Participate in problem-solving discussions about building, operations, execution, etc.
- As directed, meet with vendors.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 80 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Must have excellent balance and coordination. Job requires occasionally climbing heights above 20 feet. Standing, crouching and reaching for extended periods of time. Good eye sight and hearing are essential. Ability to work in all types of weather and temperatures.
About You:
General
- Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a fingerprinting background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.
Education/Experience:
- Previous facility maintenance experience in a regulated medical or laboratory environment extremely helpful.
- Previous facility maintenance experience in a large commercial environment required.
- Experience with institutional boilers and chillers a plus.
- Experience in refrigeration and/ or reverse osmosis water systems a plus.
- Reading and understanding blueprints a bonus.
Technological Skills:
- Understanding of electronic control systems.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Good troubleshooting and mechanical ability.
- Familiarity with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, electronic and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience as maintenance tech or similar .
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in licensed facilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and organizing of all warehouse areas including offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, break rooms, grounds, and production areas
- Assist with general building maintenance including light bulb replacements, vacuum belt repairs, carpet cleaning, tile cleaning/buffing, minor painting, minor miscellaneous repairs
- Support with any machine/equipment maintenance and repair needs including plumbing and electrical (if trained)
- Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success
REQUIREMENTS
- Custodian or Maintenance Experience, 1+ years_ (preferred)_
- Basic Math, Organizational, and Computer Skills
- Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire)
- Must have High School Diploma or GED

Key Responsibilities:
- Performance and documentation of the Daily Vehicle Inspection/Launch process, ensuring road readiness for all dispatched equipment, including Delivery Vehicles and Larger Format Commercial Fleet
- Scheduling and compilation of day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
- Participation in Site Safety meeting, including providing updates on status of next steps for outstanding or completed items
- Procures warehouse supplies for all operation functions and maintenance.
- Coordinate on-site contractor activities and scheduling and in conjunction with Nabis Visitor Safety procedures, and provide on-site leadership while present for the following:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Schedules and ensures completion of Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Produces and completes Excel/Sheets based Inventory reports on all required Fleet and Facilities supplies
- Participates and researches solutions for Site and Corporate initiatives.
- Ensures costs for solutions are within budget expectations and approved based on agreed upon limits
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in facility maintenance
- Must be over the age of 21
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch and twist
- Ability to work occasional overtime and weekend shifts
- Exceptional customer service and professional
- Adaptability and flexibility to learn new technologies and incorporate into daily work
Education & Experience:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Maintenance Certifications, a plus
- CDL Experience, a plus

The Role
The Nabis Fleet and Facilities Maintenance Associate is a locally based role that ensures the execution of the Nabis Corporate Preventive Maintenance, Safety Inspection and Vehicle Compliance programs in accordance with operational standards and ensures adherence to all local legal, health, and safety regulations. About the Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Associate will support equipment and facility maintenance and services of the cultivation facility to ensure that the needs of the organization and its employees are met.
- Be able to complete general maintenance tasks in the facility, including, but not limited to: troubleshooting, repair, cosmetics, plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance tasks as directed.
- Be able to assist with maintaining each piece of equipment and system in the facility.
- Understand all systems within facility including, but not limited to, security, HVAC, plumbing, electric, fertigation, and Building Management Software (BMS).
- Troubleshoot issues with each piece of equipment and system in the building, incorporating knowledge of control systems and safety procedures.
- Maintain workspace, including proper organization of all tools and department supplies.
- Adhere to specific rules and regulations determined by the law and by the commission.
- Be aware of and comply with all safety and health regulations, including, but not limited to, hazardous materials (hazmat), personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

- As directed, meet with vendors.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 80 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Must have excellent balance and coordination. Job requires occasionally climbing heights above 20 feet.
