GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for assisting the Production Specialist in Oil Inventory and other staff with ingredient preparation, production, production clean-up, area setup, product packaging, cleaning and dishwashing. Will work primarily in the production of certain wellness products and assist with other products. Must work well with other production staff to complete daily production tasks. Follows directives of the Wellness Production Lead.
POSSIBLE JOB DUTIES (not limited to)
- Daily production functions incl. prepping, cleaning, mixing, and portioning products
- Accurately records and labels daily production
- Check in and put away deliveries in storeroom/fridge/freezer as needed
- Perform heavy cleaning, such as ovens, equipment, etc, when needed

The Production Specialist ensures that all product is manufactured in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensures that all products meet the company's quality standards while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and compliance while in timely communication with production team members.

Candy packers wrap candies and insert them into pouches, containers, Boxes. This is completed by hand or with the use of automated packaging equipment.
California METRC experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities

- Anticipates and communicates inventory needs with management and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains compliant inventory practices, in partnership with Management team.
- Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team member’s morale and performance and communicating them to the packaging supervisor.
- Actively works to create cultural buy-in amongst their team, and champion organizational goals and initiatives.
Process/Technology
- Operates packaging and Labeling equipment including Flow Wrappers, Pouching machines, heat shrink tunnels, and labeling machines.
- Maintains full compliance with state regulations with respect to evaluation, handling, storage, transferring, and tracking of products.
- Maintains effective inventory organization and best practices.
- Confirms accurate counts, quality, and quantities of product prior to transferring to distribution.
- Maintains an operationally ready storage and packaging area within the posted hours of operation, at all times.
- Supports management team in implementing company programs by working directly with the packaging team to execute action plans that meet operational and organization objectives.
- Always keeps work area clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as requested by the company.

Assistant Production Specialist - Oil Inventory - Cannabis Kitchen
Medically Correct
This position’s primary function is to assist the Production Specialist in Oil Inventory to prepare cannabis oil for infusion into edible and topical products. Cannabis oil must be controlled, weighed and documented in multiple steps of the process. This position is responsible for melting oil using oven, portioning and mixing ingredients, calculating recipes, recording weights, updating spreadsheets and logs, cleaning utensils and maintaining equipment. Maintaining a sanitary working environment is essential. Must know health rules, MED rules, HACCP regulations, and other rules that apply. Disciplined and self-motivated. Interacts with other staff, managers, Chefs and Executives professionally. This is a position in the marijuana industry and requires a current MED issued badge from the state of Colorado.
POSSIBLE JOB DUTIES:
- Weighs and logs oil batches
- Calculates recipes and mix ingredients
- Melts down oil and portions out
- Clean tools and equipment
- Prepare and heat seal pans
- Record weights, test results, and totals in computer spreadsheets and database
- Create labels for each batch
- Assign appropriate oils to scheduled recipes
- Maintain sanitary work environment, wiping, sweeping, mopping
- Attend meetings when requested
- Assist Kitchen staff receiving and putting away orders and heavy cleaning
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience using computer office programs and email
- Experience with calculator and running calculations
- Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of health code and MED regulations
- Reliable transportation
- Able to obtain at least a MED Support Badge
- Attention to detail and can follow recipes

The Production Specialist provides on-site support to the production areas within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Production Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the manufacturing of cannabis infused edibles and assembling and packaging products for distribution. Production Specialists may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments occasionally to meet business needs, including but not limited to the processing of dry cannabis flower.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Precisely and efficiently measure and weigh ingredients using recipe specifications.
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment to mix, melt, pour, and bake raw ingredients.
- Receive food items and ensure appropriate storage.
- Make sure that all food items are stored and rotated properly using first in first out (FIFO) methods.
- Collect samples as needed to quality testing.
- Weigh, assemble, package, seal, and label products.
- Regularly clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
- Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws.
- Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas.
- Immediately inform the Production Manager of any system discrepancies.
- Ensure all products are of high quality and visually aesthetic, reporting concerns to management for remediation.
- Prepare finished and packaged products for distribution.
- Document and update product information and labeling using the company’s seed to sale system.
- Provide support to additional cultivation, harvest, and production teams as needed to achieve facility production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience in a general production facility or kitchen.
- Able to follow detailed instructions and capable of performing repetitive tasks.
- Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
- Willing to learn about, operate, and maintain facility equipment in a safe manner.
- Able to follow recipe specifications.
- Must have effective time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to sit and stand for at least 8 hours per day, lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
- Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a regulated production facility (food, beverage, CPG, etc.) preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 25 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Working Environment:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risks of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
