A Line cook will be responsible for working their station in the kitchen. Keeping a clean and sanitary work environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Essential Functions:
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary mise en place
- Answer, report, and follow instructions from executive chef, sous chef, and/or kitchen managers
- Prepare food for service
- Cook menu items in compliance with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Keep a positive and professional approach with coworkers
- Make sure that food comes out simultaneously with great quality and in a timely manner
- Comply with nutrition and allergy regulations and standards
- Help with preparation other prep if needed
- Must pass/take a Food Handlers Certificate within two weeks of hire date
Other Functions:
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- Complying with health and food safety standards, restocking items, cleaning
Physical Functions:
- Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as needed
- Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to 8 hours or as needed

This unique position is an integral part of our West Town Bakery Wheeling location. Directly responsible for rotating duties behind the bakery counter to include basic barista skills, tap and bottle service of coffees and alcoholic beverages. In addition to this, this role wioll have the opportunity to share each coffee's unique story and flavor on behalf of growers and the entire Dark Matter Coffee Company. You will also be selling a wide variety of our baked goods from cakes and cake balls, to croissants, to lemon bars and loaves of bread.
Forming good guest relationships is vital to creating repeat customers, or "regulars." This will be open to anyone, including our Okay Cannabis guests who are waiting for their place in line to be called. Working within a cannabis dispensary setting, this position has the potential to learn and grow into a dispensary position, if so desired. Pay is hourly, plus tips.

Marketing Manager – Cannabis Dispensary
The Fifty/50 Group, a rapidly growing hospitality management company with over a dozen established restaurant concepts and counting, is seeking a Marketing Manager for an upcoming cannabis dispensary brand. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and the Director of Sales & Marketing, and will be based within 30 miles of downtown Chicago in the northwestern suburbs.
This role will focus on creating and executing marketing campaigns for the dispensary, which will also include elements of food & beverage promotion. Successful candidates will have proven ability to create and execute marketing campaigns for established brands, work with senior members of an organization, and bring fresh ideas and excitement to our brands.
Essential Functions:
- Work on development, execution, optimization, and reporting of full multi channel social media campaigns to meet divisional and store business goals
- Liaise with Leadership, General Managers and Executive Chefs to determine store priorities and real-time marketing needs
- Manage social media accounts and generate creative, original content on various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram for assigned brands and locations
- Manage editorial calendars and outline monthly content plans including event promotions, staff highlights, new menu items, etc.
- Analyze metrics weekly, monthly and annually in order to optimize posting and ad spending, educating teams on findings
- Coordinate photoshoots and video filming segments for turnkey social media opportunities, and long tail marketing campaigns
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and office equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
