Assistant Managers are responsible for all the duties that are required of the Cannabis Expert role and regularly perform this role. Additionally, they are required to perform daily administrative managerial duties along with supporting the Store Manager and Sales Floor.
Essential Functions
- *Follow Everest Cannabis Co’s Policies and Procedures for the daily operation and fully comply with the state regulations of cannabis in an adult use market.

Assistant Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position : Assistant Manager
Classification : Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full Time Availability
Location: New Mexico
Reports To: Store Manager, Everest Retail Leaders
Collaborates With: Everest Retail Leaders, Guest Advisor, and the Public
Assistant Managers are responsible for all the duties that are required of the Cannabis Expert role and regularly perform this role. Additionally, they are required to perform daily administrative managerial duties along with supporting the Store Manager and Sales Floor.
Essential Functions
- *Follow Everest Cannabis Co’s Policies and Procedures for the daily operation and fully comply with the state regulations of cannabis in an adult use market.
- *Provide exceptional product expertise and knowledge to guests and explain the effects and potential benefits of cannabis along with its proper use.
- *Efficiently communicating marketing events and sales to all relevant team members.
- Demonstrates effective sales tactics and service demeanor to fellow associates.
- Perform daily managerial store opening and closing duties.
- Weekly meetings with General Manager
- *Utilize point of sale record keeping system to maintain guest records and other important information.
- *Answer guest questions and provide resources to assist in their use of cannabis.
- *Participate in the guest intake process, maintaining appropriate paperwork and guest records.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of sensitive guest information; Receive, prepare, and complete guest orders and sales utilizing point-of-sale and record keeping system.
- Help to ensure the store is stocked, clean and in proper operational order; Model best-in-class service that consistently exceeds our customer's expectations during the sale/provisioning process.
- Identify unique wants and needs of each individual guest by demonstrating compassion, empathy, and sensitivity.
- Interpreting guests wants/needs by establishing rapport with guests and others to understand service wants and needs.
- Act as a liaison between guests and Everest management to continually improve the guest experience.
- Provide support to the dispensary management team, taking on assignments and tasks, as necessary.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team on the sales floor- directing breaks, offering assistance as needed.
- Immediately address any guest conflict or complaint, inspiring long-term guest relationships and loyalty to our brand
- Accurately process returns and apply credits and discounts, as necessary.
- Troubleshoot POS systems and equipment issues.
- Perform daily reconciliation process of state system.
- Perform weekly scheduled inventory counts and reports.
- Medical or clinical setting experience: preferred not required.
- Cannabis or Related Advocacy Work: preferred and required Cannabis,
- CBD Therapy Experience: preferred will train.
- Basic Knowledge of Terpenes and Cannabinoid Profiles
- Is up to date on all qualifying conditions for the state of New Mexico LECUA, NMDOH and NMMCP baseline knowledge: preferred, will train.

Work Environment
This job operates in a retail business environment. Employees must possess an Everest Cannabis Co. badge. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This position is primarily sedentary but involves a large amount of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. The employee periodically lifts and/or moves items that weigh more than 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Additionally, this position uses dexterity of hands for data entry as well as operates the record keeping/POS system.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and perform weighing, counting, calculating and computer processing operations. Ability to handle stress in performing multiple tasks.

Required Education Experience
High School Diploma/GED
Detailed knowledge of POS software and Everest Cannabis Co’s operating procedures
Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations, regular scheduled shift times, applicable holidays, and time required to complete assigned tasks.
Passionate and knowledgeable about medical cannabis
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous retail or customer service experience.
