Position Overview
Under general supervision, Lead Sales Associates provide guidance and education to each patient with medical marijuana needs. Associates assist every patient to ensure he or she is receiving the correct medication that will best benefit the patient’s specific illness and medical condition.
Schedule: Full time including weekends

- Ensures all intake forms and other paperwork is properly completed and filed correctly, then enters all appropriate information in the system for future reference.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations ensures compliance with all Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program rules and regulations governing the Act, and directly supervises the activity within the dispensary to include dispensary staff training and education in the absence of the Manager and as directed.
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations provides management and leadership in the Dispensing Facility to include monitoring all point of sale transactions.
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations manages patient specific logs as required, the receipt, storage and auditing of all inventory, and is responsible for ordering new inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records using BioTrackTHC, the Dispensing Facility’s inventory tracking software program.
- As the responsible party at the Dispensing Facility, this position resolves all inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts.
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations is responsible for the development of the Dispensing Facility’s privacy policies and procedures, the security and confidentiality of all patient information, as well as overall compliance with HIPAA.
- This position acts as a liaison internally between all staff, dispensary management team and the Manager, and externally between the Dispensing Facility and law enforcement, Commissioner of Health, and the local community.
- Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the plan, consistent with established and safety procedures.
- Establishes methods to follows the operating plan in compliance with the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program, maintaining records required by public health law and ensures quality assurance plans, including but limited to plans to detect, identify and prevent dispensing errors related to product packaging and labeling.
- Manages and implements policies and procedures for any retesting of returned approved medical marijuana products, storage and disposal and meeting reporting requirements for adverse events and product recall.
- This position is responsible for assisting with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking, record keeping, record retention and surveillance related to all product at every stage of, storage, delivery, transporting, and distribution.

Worked in advocacy/lobbying field, working multiple jurisdictions and with some aspect of public service and political campaign expertise.

Job purpose
This position works in a cannabis growing and processing business. The Garden Technician performs all daily tasks set forth by the Production Management to maintain plant health and rotations throughout plant life cycles. The Production department is responsible for all major labor movements such as transplanting, harvesting, tagging, trellising, lowers, spray application, spray equipment maintenance, cloning, and cleaning in addition to non-technical general plant maintenance. The department also is responsible for all watering, nutrient mixes, integrated pest management applications, identifying signs of poor plant health, and maintaining sterilization protocols.
General Duties and Responsibilities

- Deliver results and strategic direction by ensuring day to day operations run smoothly through the store team.
- Understands merchandise flow standards; backroom organization and how it effects floor set execution, replenishment and recovery and the overall in store brand experience.
- Oversee all ingestion, inventory adjustments and proper documentation of inventory deliveries.
- Ensure store is audit compliant and achieves acceptable scores.
- Work with cross-divisional teams to build consensus on strategic objectives, goals and operational plan.
- Provide leadership, training, guidance and support to team members that foster continuous learning and improvement on operational plans.
- Promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the Leads, associates and management team, establishing priorities, and providing clear direction.
- Write and deliver on Operation Lead and Associate performance in partnership with GM and HR to determine succession plans and build bench strength.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position is responsible for holding the Operations team accountable for policy and procedures, compliance, ingestions and all other operational objectives of Project Cannabis operational initiatives.
Travel: 20% Local travel between retail locations within Los Angeles; out of town travel as required for attendance at company sponsored trade shows/events.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This job operates in a professional retail store environment. The use of standard office equipment and POS systems are required. This position regularly requires a flex schedule, long hours, nights and weekend work and holiday availability. Schedule subject to change based of the needs of the business.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to bend, lift, open and move product and fixtures up to 50 lbs, as needed.
· Ability to climb step stools and ladders.
· Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
· Ability to travel to other store locations (if needed) and attend district meetings.
Required Education and Experience:
· Minimum 21 years of age
· Minimum 2 years previous management experience in a competitive retail sales environment with a customer-centric approach
· Strong proficiency in customer relationship management databases and POS systems
· Strong work ethic; ability to address complex issues and allocate time to adjusting workload and changing priority levels
· Excels in team environments and in building and developing interpersonal relationships while maintaining an individual focus/determination to achieve established goals
· Comfort in making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment
· Ability to identify top talent and train, develop and retain store employees
· Proficient in windows-based software such as Excel, Word, MS Office
· Experience with high inventory levels, cannabis compliance laws and strategic organization.
