Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for monitoring standards and reviewing procedures to ensure that the organization is always operating compliantly, safely and ethically at the Connecticut locations and any future operational assets.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, recommends corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or address potential similar situations in the future.

- Works with Operations to identify risks, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and ensure loss prevention methods comply with privacy and other applicable laws. This includes conducting training and reviewing programs to ensure compliance, ensuring all appropriate OSHA plans are in place and documented properly, tracking training, etc.
- Provides reports on a regular basis or as requested to the Sr. Director, Compliance, AH regarding the implementation and ongoing results of various compliance programs (i.e., respirator programs, forklift certifications). Reports any violations and/or potential risks to management in a timely manner.
- Assist in any recall and/or health/public safety issues working with management team and Sr. Director, Compliance, AH to develop and execute a corrective plan.
- Maintain compliance with all state regulations and company policies and procedures. Ensures facility safety programs are current and compliant (i.e., fire extinguisher checks, eye wash station refills, etc)
- Reviews patient complaints and/or adverse events ensuring that all events are handled appropriately and on a timely basis
- Possesses full knowledge of all Hazardous Chemicals within the facility, Hazard Communication and the company’s Emergency Action and Response Plan - to assist Security in providing leadership to employees, as needed - in the event of any emergency.
- Works with the Sr. Director, Compliance, AH in training team members on the proper handling of Hazardous Chemicals.
- Possesses adequate knowledge of Electrical Safety and Machine Guarding
- Works with the Operations’ team and a direct report on batch release compliance testing and maintaining corresponding records.
- Coordinates with Security Management to ensure that all monthly logs and records are updated appropriately and on time
- Assists with regulatory submissions: new products, packaging/labeling, general compliance questions.
- Assists with onboarding and supporting new employees as it pertains to company (IScout) and state required compliance training.
- Able to travel to all dispensary locations on a bi-monthly basis to conduct audits.
- Conducts monthly, bi-monthly, and annual audits (all CT locations).
- Ensures all manifests are properly stored, reporting any discrepancies, as necessary.
- Collaborates on review of recommended packaging/labeling, advertising and marketing for compliance with applicable state regulations
- Possesses adequate knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Performs related duties as assigned by either the Sr. Director, Compliance and/or Operations’ management
- Assists with administrative reporting, as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, health care or agriculture industries is strongly preferred; cannabis industry experience preferred.

PURCHASING PROCUREMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and process all purchase orders (PO) as needed. Make sure PO is sent to vendor and matches the PO entered into QuickBooks (QB)
- Receive inventory into QB, manage/track all receiving documentation (BOL); scan and save electronic copies in organized fashion by vendor name and period with related and pertinent details attached
- Work with vendors to get quotes and provide information on product specs to align to our customer’s needs. Includes supporting and providing information to Sales team as needed.
- Work with Sales Team on new product ideas and provide insight and vendor information when necessary; This may entail working with various vendors, sales reps and potentially the customer to provide solutions to the customer’s product needs
- Product awareness on all our products we currently sell; Be a strong resource for knowing what we currently use, what any new potential vendors sell and their specs of their product(s)
- Responsible for all product returns which includes making sure necessary changes to dates and costs/pricing are communicated to customer service and/or respective vendors; Also, to ensure we receive the credit invoice for the returned product from vendor if applicable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the umbrella of Acreage Holdings, a national leading cannabis firm, The Botanist in Danbury, CT has an immediate need for a full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. The individual must be able to meet the standard of excellence required by providing assistance and information to our patients. - Greet and check-in patients in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner, as well as schedule consultation appointments for patients through our online scheduling system.
- Patient enrollment assistance through the state registration website (Biznet).
- Delegate and communicate patient needs swiftly to dispensary staff to ensure prompt resolution.
- Responsible for taking incoming calls, checking voicemails, and distributing messages to appropriate personnel. Returning phone calls in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that the dispensary is kept clean and organized for patients and staff.
- Building and maintaining patient profiles in our dispensing software system (BioTrack), which includes creation of profiles, updating patient information when necessary, and scanning required documentation
- Understand and maintain compliance with all state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Input documentation into database for our Compassionate Needs Program
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or front-desk role required.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a State mandated background check
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining calm with a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment
Additional Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees, patients and general public.
- Familiarity with Google Forms is a plus
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

The General Manager is responsible for building, developing, and leading a High Performing Team responsible for achieving operations and revenue goals in retail facilities throughout the state. This role also has full P&L responsibility for assigned sites and oversees both strategy and tactics for the aimed at achieving operational goals!
Responsibilities
o Oversees all aspects of the customer value chain within an assigned state including inventory, distribution, and retail operations.
o Translates business and operational strategies into actionable short and long-term plans and establishes performance objectives for assigned teams
o Develops and executes short- and long-term financial strategies
o Manages P&L and delivers against established budget and EBITDA targets
o Drives operational performance and ensures all projects and tasks are completed in accordance with established plans
o Partners with wholesale, retail, and SME teams to ensure sales and profitability goals are attained
o Partners with regional compliance representatives to ensure all operations are compliant with state regulations
o Builds strong community relationships with elected officials, regulators, community leaders and the medical community.
o Leads business operations including the creation and execution of SOPs, management of budgets, identification of best practices and the creation of policies and practices
o Maintains effective working relationships with national team partners including Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Compliance, and Human Resources
o Responsible for operating in full compliance with all state and local guidelines for all assigned locations
o Identifies potential risks and communicates mitigation strategies in a timely and effective manner.
o Continually identifies and implements business process improvements
Requirements
o Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience
o 7 or more years of experience leading operations in highly regulated industry
o 5 or more years of experience leading and developing a large team of individuals across multiple disciplines
o Working knowledge across multiple business functions, including operations, sales, supply chain, etc.
o Prior Cannabis industry experience preferred
o Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices
