The Utah Department of Health & Human Services seeks a Medical Cannabis Financial Manager II in the Utah Medical Cannabis Administration to provide financial oversight of the Medical Cannabis program, ensure compliance with established guidelines, implement, review, and improve processes, and help with or manage financial projects under the general supervision of the Budget Manager.Pursuant to Utah Code §§ 4-41-107 and 26-61a-111, this job includes duties that arise from or directly relate to the Utah Medical Cannabis Act.
Duties may require conduct which is in violation of the criminal laws of the United States with respect to the manufacture, sale, or distribution of cannabis. As a condition of employment, candidates who are selected to fill this position will be required to sign an Acceptance of Duties Under the Medical Cannabis Act Acknowledgment Form.

Position Summary
The Regional Account Manager of the Northwest is responsible for managing and directing all sales, account development and program implementation in the Northwest United States for the Company’s tobacco product(s). Essential Functions
- Manage, develop, and direct company sales within new and assigned wholesale and retail channels. Set up and execute consumer engagement and sales strategies. Focus will be on, but limited to, Regional Accounts in the Northwest United States.
- Collects and analyzes competitor’s marketing information, and proposes strategic recommendations to leadership to maintain a competitive advantage in the region.
- Designs and recommends, in conjunction with the division President, sales programs and strategies to increase sales and revenue of the Company’s tobacco portfolio.
- Evaluates any current sales programs and strategies for effectiveness, and will propose recommendations for improvement based upon market trends and projected growth.
- Partner with the marketing team to set sales objectives for Company tobacco portfolio.
- Develop new accounts with customers in the assigned region.
- Train any new sales representative who are assigned to the region.
- Oversee the entire sales life cycle from developing new customers to maintenance programming for Northwest customers.
- Prepare and conduct presentations for prospective customers to educate them on the Company’s tobacco portfolio, merchandising programs, data sources and marketing programs.

The Director of Information Systems provides leadership and overall management direction for the full range of information system activities at Calyx. Responsible and accountable for development and implementation of results focused, innovative solutions to a wide range of activities related to technology, process improvement, and project management that serve to support effective business operations, improve performance, and achieve Organizational goals.. Success in this role will be measured predominantly by building and managing scalable technical solutions with complete Calyx adoption. This role reports directly to the VP of Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and manage the Calyx tech stack in support of all company goals.
- Assume ownership, including license management, of key Calyx technology platforms.
- Define and implement requirements for the deployment, augmentation, customization, integration, security and ultimate decommissioning of technology systems.
- Lead a team of project managers, consultants, and a systems administrator to continue the build out of additional functionality to support business scalability.
- Identify, research, validate, and, if warranted, build new technology solutions that aid in the growth and execution of our business.
- Drive key technical initiatives leading to improvements in efficiency, reporting, and company-wide visibility to appropriately support Calyx.
- Provide regular updates on project / program status to Senior Leadership and Calyx as a whole including wins and losses respectively.
- Manage Calyx technology budget for all business units as a key stakeholder.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MBA/MSc/MA a plus
- 3-5 years management experience within a technology company and/or role
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, outsourced manufacturing, and fulfillment setting preferred; within a successful startup a plus
- Direct experience with ERPs (preferably Netsuite) a must; additional experience with CRM, MIS (print systems), and E-commerce solutions a plus
- Understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience with digital print systems and manufacturing a plus

Quality Assurance Supervisor
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance group to enforce processing and manufacturing procedures, technology, and business practices documented in State-level SOPs, policies, forms, and batch records. This role will support ongoing operations within the State, working closely with state and regional leaders to continuously improve operations. The QA Supervisor will also be responsible for supporting training employees using the Quality Management System, periodic verification of batch records, and confirm product quality requirements are met. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure traceability of plant/product movement throughout the facility
- Perform or assist in quality inspections, auditing against cGMP criteria and confirming established product quality requirements are achieved.
- Assist with edits and review of state-specific and applicable national SOPs, policies, and supporting documents.
- Promptly communicate identified discrepancies to QA leadership and Operational team leads, and document accordingly.
- Investigate and participate in quality event investigations and reporting including CAPA, OOS reports, product quality complaints, and adverse event investigations.
- Assist with training team members on processes and procedures using approved documents.
- Perform accurate audit and inspections of cultivation/processing facilities using documentation provided to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements and promptly report results to QA and Compliance leadership.
- Assist with document management including SOPs, work instructions, and visual aids in the eQMS and within the facility.
- Support QA leadership in implementing and maintaining a quality management system including the eQMS
- Perform periodic review of procedures, forms, logs and master batch records (MBRs).
- Maintain and enforce strict adherence to established procedures.
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and participate in problem solving activities to drive process improvements.
- Assist with change control for proposed changes to process or product
- Enforce safety and security procedures in compliance with OSHA and local EHS regulations; report potentially unsafe conditions; monitor for proper use of equipment and materials.
- Promote a culture of quality and change management.
- Additional duties and responsibilities will be assigned as necessary.

Deliver Driver
Curaleaf Utah is seeking a full time Driver for our growing facility. As a driver, you will be responsible for making deliveries of medical cannabis to dispensaries throughout the state as part of a driving team. Job Description
The Formulation Scientist would help with the formulation development and manufacturing implementation of new products. The Formulation Scientist conducts and leads R&D and optimization activities for new products and is responsible for conducting testing to validate the products have desired physicochemical properties. The Formulation Scientist identifies and validates scalable manufacturing equipment and protocols and aids in transition from R&D to production. This is very much a startup role and the ideal candidate would be independent, creative, and have a strong desire to be part of a rapidly growing mission driven company.
Essential Functions
Under supervision, works as part of a product development team, conducts formulation, testing, and assists in the development of new products for a wide variety of dosage forms. The expected duties are as following:
- Designs and formulates different oral (but not limited to) dosage forms such as chewable tablets, swallow able tablets, soft gels, water soluble powders, etc.
- Plans and conducts scientific experiments to create product prototypes.
- Assures formulations meet design requirements and scalable for manufacturing.
- Provides technical assistance in any formulation and processing difficulties.
- Develops methods, batch records, and procedures for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of research findings, progress reports with conclusions and recommendations, in order to inform management of current status of each project.
- Communicates closely with supervisor to develop new formulations, resolves formulation problems, and improves products performance such as color, texture, and other physicochemical properties.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Works in an organized manner and being detail oriented.
- Participates in group meetings as required.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or master’s degree (M.S.) in a scientific or technical field with at least 2-5 years of related experience in a pharmaceutical and/or a nutraceutical company. Having pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry experience will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical/nutraceutical dosage forms and drug/nutraceutical product development.
- Familiarity with manufacturing in the medical cannabis, pharmaceutical, and/or nutraceutical industry.
- Familiarity with GLP/GMP requirements.

- Providing consulting services to the clients in the areas of food science, food safety, food processing, microbiology, etc.

Essential Functions:
Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product
Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to waste for proper tracking.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Medical Marijuana Program Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining, responding to and tracking of the Medical Marijuana Electronic Mail (Email) account. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance and assistance, and support for escalated customer service functions involving more complex and sensitive issues. This position responds to patient, caregiver, dispensary, and general public inquiries in a timely manner, by providing accurate program information through the interpretation and application of statutes, rules, policies and procedures related to the Medical Marijuana Program.
What will I be doing in this job?
- Overseeing, tracking and maintaining the Medical Marijuana Electronic Mail (Email) account
- Providing technical guidance and assistance and support for escalated customer service functions and interpretation and application of statutes, rules, policies and procedures
- Auditing and tracking the processing of the medical marijuana patient applications requiring mapping
- Ensuring that all communications to applicants (i.e. requests for information, notice of deficiencies and denials) are accurate and complete, prior to submitting application to management final decision
- Developing, managing and generating reports on emails and mapping to ensure program efficiency
- Assisting with QA review of staff work and training /on-boarding of new staff

Qualifications?
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience in related field
Licenses and Certifications?
Driving is required for State Business.
- Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).

Hemp Extraction Lab Production Coordinator
Beehive Labs is a hemp extraction facility in Salt Lake City. We are currently expanding our high-volume distillation and THC remediation throughputs and are seeking a Lab Production Coordinator to help us manage our growing lab.
Our lab focuses on distillation and remediation and works closely with some of the most cutting-edge leaders in the extraction field.
The Lab Production Coordinator will become the resident remediation expert training junior technicians. Salary plus production bonuses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads operation of distillation and remediation equipment.
- Works with technology directors to maintain and develop distillation and remediation quality control markers.
- Provides supervision and training to junior technicians.
- Works closely with the junior technicians to improve process work flow.
- Investigates technical use cases for the application of emerging distillation and remediation technology.
- Works with technology directors on procedures to preserve minor cannabinoids and terpenes throughout the distillation process.
- Schedules and oversees the regular maintenance of distillation and remediation equipment.
- Responsible for recording and maintaining strict production records.
- Responsible for Track and Trace data entry for distillation department.
- Maintains strict compliance with all facility SOP’s, safety protocols and local, state and federal regulations.
- Sets up and dismantles instruments and apparatus; and prepares specialized solutions / suspensions to perform essential laboratory/production procedures.
- Maintains, calibrates, validates, monitors and troubleshoots laboratory equipment and instruments.
MUST HAVES:
- Basic knowledge of Full Extraction lifecycle (Primary – refinement – distillation etc.).
- 2 - 3 years experience in laboratory or manufacturing environment (experience while attending college applies).
- Able to communicate with remote management while maintaining effective local technician supervision.
- Knowledgeable of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
- Skilled in performing diverse mechanical procedures.
- Well organized and methodical to continually maintain accurate records and prepare reports for both internal and external use
- High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed.
NICE TO HAVES:
- 1+ Years direct experience with cannabis oil distillation and other refinement techniques.
- Chemistry or related science degree and/or cannabis extraction lab experience.
- Experience working in a GMP manufacturing facility.
- Working knowledge of Utah hemp law and regulations.
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Manufacturing or related field.
