Job Summary
The Kitchen Tech will work closely with production managers to successfully produce consistent, safe, quality cannabis edibles. Communication, attention to detail and time management are critical to the success of our production department. The day to day tasks of producing products infused with various cannabis derived oils. Including gummies, chocolates and baked goods. Must be able to follow instructions and react quickly even in a high stress environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare ingredients, work area and equipment for production, including performing regular check to ensure equipment is functioning to the highest capacity.
- Prep, mix, cook, pour, deposit, and store all cannabis consumables.
- Accurately read, record and communicate all kitchen data, counts, measurements and weights.
- Report any variation or deviation from expected values for process times, yields, and any other defined product characteristics throughout the production process to site management.
- Ensure inventory is tracked in a compliant manner in Track and Trace systems and establish inventory par levels for raw ingredients.
- Enforce the company Employee Hygiene Policy for working in a food manufacturing facility.
- Enforce kitchen equipment maintenance and management policies.
- Assist in research and development, to identify areas where edible recipes and formulation processes can be improved.
- Propose changes to documentation or production processes to improve Safety, Quality and Efficiency of products.
- Assist in the disposal of all waste materials.
- Maintain safe, clean and sanitized work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of commercial production experience and or 1 year producing confectionary edibles in a commercial environment.
- Experience with cannabis extracts, edibles production and different infusion techniques.
- Understands ingredient interactions/functionality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all kitchen equipment.
- Experience producing confectionary goods.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sourcing Specialist plays a pivotal role focused on Ceres Collaborative developing long term, sustainable partnerships and maintaining purchase & sale agreements to ensure optimal inventory and variety based on company production and demand forecasts. This person will work closely with various departments throughout Operations, Finance, Marketing & Retail to understand existing inventory position and work with licensed Vermont cultivators, manufactures and wholesalers to procure products to meet upcoming demand forecasts with optimal variety. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing sales for Ceres Collaborative’s wholesale market; identifying and servicing customers with Ceres produced finished and semi-finished goods. They will serve as point person for communication and partners; growing relationships to ensure that Ceres has long term partners that align with company strategy and values that that forecasted inventory and variety needs will be met. Finally, they will develop pricing strategies for purchase and sale of product in conjunction with Finance and Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Identifies the most appropriate supplier for products, determines availability of needed product. Negotiates pricing and performs comparative pricing. Confirms vendor’s payment terms. Confirms the quality of products and establishes delivery requirements.
- Performs purchasing functions including issuing purchase orders, verifies receipt of and price of products and proper documentation including batch and testing info, and performs reconciliations.
- Monitors contracts and orders and expedites delivery; reconciles discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders and resolves issues related to product quality, pricing and delivery.
- Works with Operations to an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
- Creates and delivers a weekly closed purchase order report to management that includes all necessary information, including vendor invoice numbers.
- Researches, develops and maintains sustainable relationships with Vermont licensed cultivators, manufactures and wholesalers and communicates availability of product and purchase/sale recommendations with Vermont Leadership team.
- Interviews sales representatives and maintains contact with partners updates list of licensed cultivators, manufactures and wholesalers. Visits site locations when needed.
- Manages relationships and sales for wholesale opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: College degree or equivalent, and/or two years of applicable experience in sales or procurement role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of processes, controls or other techniques to maximize the effective purchase and distribution of goods, including working knowledge of the materials being purchased.

Cultivator II works with cannabis plants through vegetative phase of the plant’s lifecycle, as well as the cloning program
Il. Summary of duties:
- Transplants and up-pots plants, and is responsible for asexual propagation of cannabis plants according to best practices, timing and guidelines.
- Monitors the health of plants, and the replacement of mom plants. Selectively prunes plants to optimize health, productive capacity and to decrease risk of pest/pathogens infection.

POSITION SUMMARY: Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids and liquids for research and development of new products of processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

10. Manage product shelf-life experiments.
11. Perform sales clone inspections to ensure that plants meet quality acceptance criteria

V. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: Associate’s degree or vocational training, plus two years of related work experience.

Under the direction of the Director and Senior Manager of cultivation, supervises the various stages of plant growth and development and communicates with fellow cultivation staff about best practices
Il. Summary of duties:
- Teaches, mentors and coordinates the activities of Cultivator Il staff, as needed.
- Plans and coordinates day-to-day production through cutting, cloning, transplanting, vegetative and flowering cycles in indoor, outdoor or greenhouse environments. Ensures processes culminate in a successful harvest.

- Is responsible for the replacement of mom plants. Selectively prunes to optimize health, productive capacity and to decrease risk of pest/pathogen infection.
- Follows sanitation best practices and standard operating procedures in all growing environments. Coordinates and executes the cleaning of tools, surfaces, work stations, growing areas, tables, floors and irrigation equipment. Disposes of dead / diseased plants in accordance with State of Vermont regulations.

I. POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates the activities of the extraction process by contributing to and leading extraction technician(s) in productivity, quality, and safety efforts throughout the extraction production process. This position starts at an Extractor ll - transitioning into an Extraction Lead. Training hours (1st 2 months of employment) Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:30pm. Scheduled work hours after promotion to lead Tues-Fri 2:00pm - 12:30am.
Il. Summary of duties:
- Produces crude and refined cannabis oil, and other extracts through various extraction techniques and processes.
- Provides day to day guidance to fellow employees, acts as first line resource for questions and /or problem solving of routine issues.
- Supports development and implementation of operating procedures to support productivity, quality and safety initiatives.
- Critical thinking ability that supports continual process improvement initiatives.
Updates production metrics in batch records and electronic systems.
Supports preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure that it continually operates as intended
Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills:
- They are expected to have a firm understanding of chemical principals that are being applied during processing.
- Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, and cost control to maximize the effective manufacture of goods.

Summery:
This program will be designed to train students across a 12,000 sqft cannabis extraction/processing facility in Colchester VT. The goal is to have students train and work in every aspect of this operation. While learning the ins and outs of the cannabis industry you will be offered the opportunity to perform high level tasks for management and executives. The long term goal of this program is to permanently hire highly qualified students upon graduation.
Schedule outline and responsibilities: 3 month rotation
1-3---extraction, purification, product development and Lab testing.
4-6---Lab isolation, Isomerization, and cannabinoid research/creation station.
7-9---Indoor growing, cloning, sales, and Management.
10-12---Field of study students choice. Science degree = Lab concentration.
After 1 year You would be offered a position based on satisfactory training and competency in that field.

Your day will be spent processing raw materials to create finished products, ready for sale at our dispensaries and retail stores. Working as part of a high energy team, you will be cross trained to allow for a variety of work responsibilities and flexibility. You will be assigned to various work settings, including our production kitchen, processing and packaging area.
