Job description
The Inventory & Distribution Manager is a direct report to the Manufacturing Director and Cultivation Director. The Inventory & Distribution Manager is responsible for making sure that all products being distributed are compliant and accurately recorded in all systems (Metrc, LeafLogix, spreadsheets, etc.). The Inventory & Distribution Manager will oversee and support cannabis inventory management and any compliance audits that are needed for the department. The Inventory & Distribution manager will work closely with the production departments (Cultivation, Extraction & Kitchen) to ensure packaged products are verified prior to entering into inventory software. The Inventory & Distribution manager will also work closely with the Security/Transportation team to ensure that all outgoing shipments are coordinated in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Tasks: .
- Create and implement efficient storage for verification and distribution processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Evaluate on-hand inventory and coordinate with packaging / production departments to ensure menu accuracy and a variety of menu offerings.
- Assist/Collaborate in writing and implementing SOPs related to cannabis inventory intake, storage and distribution.
- Consistently improve upon current techniques to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain 100% accuracy of on-hand inventory.
- Catalog and store cannabis products in a way that meets compliance standards.
- Receive and transfer all products with 100% compliant practices.
- Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment for all production working and storage spaces.
- Utilize FIFO (First In, First Out) for all available inventory to minimize expiration and destruction of valued goods.
- Utilize all software and tracking systems to manage the product catalog, create packages, and control the movement of all inventory through it’s locations.
- Obtain the highest level of METRC and other mandated seed to sale programs training to stay 100% compliant.
- Organize monthly inventory audits on all cannabis products in distribution’s possession.
- Minimize loss and shrinkage of inventory by implementing loss prevention tactics and procedures.
- Implement standardized & recurring inventory reconciliations of all cannabis products.
- Work in conjunction with packaging departments to establish par levels for cannabis products available for sale.
- Keep an accurate inventory of all non cannabis materials and supplies and work with purchasing to ensure appropriate par levels are maintained.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in operations and processing.
- 2+ years of experience in an interdepartmental collaborative position.
- Computer and software fluent (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to understand legal documentation and interpretation.
- Possess a can-do attitude, resourceful, action oriented, reliable, and a team player.
- Excellent communications skills as applied to internal teams, customers, vendors, and regulators.
- Experience improving efficiencies, identifying necessary tools, and establishing processes.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and motivation with flexibility and adaptability.
- Possess a tremendous sense of urgency, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Over 21 with ability to obtain an MA agent registration card;
- Completion of state cannabis tracking (METRC) processing center training.
- Excellent time management, analytical skills, multi-tasking skills in a challenging environment.
- Ability to meet minimum physical requirements to work in a production and retail environment.

The MIP Kitchen Manager is a direct report to the Manufacturing Director. The MIP Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing day to day operations of the Edibles Kitchen & MIP Packaging. The ultimate objective of the MIP Kitchen Manager is to hire, train and develop a team that can produce, package, label and compliantly support the edibles production needs. This job requires a high level of personnel management while maintaining positive employee morale and retention. Efficient process and inventory management will ensure the company has a robust selection of products across all categories, at all times. This position also requires knowledge and understanding of large scale automated production equipment to support growth in an expanding market.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Hire, train, and develop team members to meet the product needs of the business.
- Schedule all kitchen and packaging employees based on product availability and business demand.
- Create and implement efficient manufacturing, packaging and labeling processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Evaluate on-hand inventory and create weekly production schedules that keep appropriate par levels of all cannabis products available in inventory.
- Evaluate on-hand inventory and collaborate with Purchasing Teams and Supply Chain to set appropriate par levels of all non cannabis inventory to ensure supplies and materials necessary for manufacturing and packaging are readily available.

- Understanding of confectionery recipes and their processes and the ability to develop new products.
- Understanding of nutritional information and how to reflect that on an FDA compliant package based on a confectionery recipes’ ingredients.
- Write, implement and train all SOPs created for manufacturing and packaging processes. Hold employees accountable to all SOPs.
- Organize and implement a training program for all kitchen and MIP packaging employees.
- Establish productivity metrics for every unit produced in kitchen and packaging. Provide metrics to the appropriate departments/positions for cost control and production demands.
