We're looking for an experienced, self-starting General Manager to lead our newly opened boutique hotel located in beautiful Hopland, California.
Located 90 minutes north of San Francisco, The Thatcher Hotel’s historic building was recently restored like no other in the area. With modern touches geared toward more sophisticated travelers looking to slow down, The Thatcher Hotel is a place to contemplate self, nature, making, and community. Located in an area that celebrates both wine and cannabis, and with its stunning event spaces, including the library, bar, cafe, outdoor courtyard and pool, The Thatcher Hotel is not your typical “wine country getaway.”
Job Summary: Function as the primary strategic leader of the hotel, managing and overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations and guest experience; including guest satisfaction, revenue generation, business reporting, employee staffing & development, sales & marketing, events, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and other administration needs. The General Manager will be an ambassador for all things Thatcher, and will help define the future of the brand.
The Right Fit:
- Has hotel management experience with an emphasis on boutique or independent hotels
- Has proven experience maximizing hotel occupancy and profit through rate optimization
- Understands, interprets, and has led hotel financial reporting
- Has a passion for hospitality, demonstrated by progressive hotel career experience
- Has exceptional customer service skills and is willing to use them in all parts of the guest experience
- Is technologically savvy, with a strong understanding of Property Management and Revenue Channel Interfaces
- Has experience leveraging online channels to market boutique hotels and drive occupancy
- Displays strong hands-on operational skills; thrives in customer interactions
- Thinks critically and objectively; has excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands
- Is able to work in a fast-paced and creative work environment
- Has the ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
Core Responsibilities:
- Exceeding Guest Expectations - Providing a guest experience that goes above and beyond, resulting in positive guest satisfaction, online reviews, and repeat stays.
- Demonstrating Leadership - Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
- Driving a Sales Culture - Driving the sales culture in the hotel through active involvement in the sales process, including quick response time to guest inquiries, encouraging the leadership team to develop effective revenue management strategies and setting aggressive goals that will drive the property’s financial performance; manage and facilitate group or event bookings to drive revenue and ensure exceptional experience; prepare an annual budget and business plan to ensure the smooth operations of the hotel, set financial goals and plan expenses.
- Supervising, Coaching and Developing Others - Hiring, training, supervising, and terminating team members; understanding team members’ positions well enough to perform duties in their absence; identifying the developmental needs of others and mentoring others to improve their knowledge or skills; creating an environment in which all teammates have the ability to reach their full potential.
- Improving Service - Constantly improving service by communicating and assisting employees to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
- Analyzing and Communicating Business Performance - Build, maintain, and circulate performance reports as well as run monthly leadership meetings; communicating follow-up actions to the leadership team as necessary; analyzing business results and working with the leadership team to develop effective strategies to address needs; making key decisions and overseeing execution, and ensuring appropriate resources are available to achieve business results.
- Managing Daily Tasks - Review/verify daily reports, responsible for bank deposits, petty cash, guest relations, public relations, facility inspection, sales calls, maintenance of accepted standards of operations, monitor performance to forecast.
- Handling All Misc. Roles - Negotiate contracts for goods and services following company policy, negotiate groups along with room sales, order supplies and approve invoices for payment, monitor and collect receivables, attend community events, etc.

Salary: $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year

Position Summary: The SALES OPS-ERP ADMINISTRATOR is mainly responsible for data entry for sales operations alongside our SAP Business One System. Working with Sales, Distribution and Demand planning managers, the SALES OPS-ERP ADMINISTRATOR will ensure order adjustments, sales orders and correct product transfers are entered correctly into the software.
What you will do
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Work closely with Sales and Operations to properly retrieve and enter data
- Prepare and process sales orders
- Review, issue products and close sales orders.
- Monitor and report the correct inventory levels.
- Set Resource data in the system
- Coordinate and maintain data collection systems.
- Participate in the development of scheduling and production planning in all entities.
- Prepare reports regarding sales trends.
- Assist with purchase orders, sales orders and inventory goods receipts.
