Well established local licensed cannabis company is looking to add a skilled and experienced Nursery Manager to their team.
The Nursery Manager will assist with running the day-to-day operations of a cannabis nursery.
The Nursery Manager will be responsible for implementing the grow strategies and techniques set by leadership, ensuring task deadlines and goals are met, training new employees, tracking data and creating reports on KPIs, opening and closing the facility, coordinating and communicating with other departments, and performing general cultivation tasks with employees as needed. - Open and close nursery facility and manage day-to-day activities
- Execute grow strategy and techniques as requested
- Mix stock tanks and monitor watering systems
- Report on environmental data
- Understand watering strategies and use available data to ensure optimal growth
- Track and monitor KPIs for employees and create reports detailing information
- Train and assist Propagation Technicians and team leads
- Manage Propagation Technicians and team leads to ensure they have the tools to succeed
- Ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed to the quality standards set by leadership
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments for shipping/receiving and plant tracking
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Nursery / Cannabis / Agriculture work
- Experience with and knowledge of nutrients and different growing mediums
- Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the Company and the propagation department
- Understanding of Integrated Pest Management solutions and ability to identify nutrient deficiencies proactively
- Knowledge of cannabis plant growing techniques
- Being well-organized with excellent attention to detail is required
- Ability to track, analyze, and create reports on relevant data points
- Knowledge of crop management and commercial agriculture
- Must be an analytical and resourceful leader, who is able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Must work well with others and have the ability to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure, methods and techniques
- Must be 21+ and pass a background screen Supervisory Responsibility
- Provide direction to other individuals
- Supervise and train Propagation Technicians on work-related activities
- Perform regular reviews with staff to ensure goals are being met Working Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts * The employee is frequently exposed to herbal aromas, dust, and/or airborne particles * The employee occasionally works in high places

- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products
