The position requires education or work experience in the cannabis industry. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates must be willing to deliver educational content in both face to face and online settings. The instructor will teach one course titled Introduction to Cannabis in the Fall Semester and one course titled Cannabis Production and Processing in the Spring Semester.

The Production Technician will be responsible for various processes associated with cannabis product development. Duties and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Production Technician include all aspects of the daily care of medicine from harvest to packaging; monitoring weights and measurements; presentation; and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the processing area. - Assists in harvesting, processing and packaging finished medicine

- Implement daily feeding & care schedule as directed by Cultivation Manager
- Maintain consistency and discretion when pruning crop at various stages

- Performs quality checks on all orders prior to final delivery.
- Assist Supply Chain Delivery team when needed which may include occasional ride along with Delivery Drivers.
- May support other departments when need arises.

The main responsibilities of the Cultivation Manager are to effectively lead, manage and coordinate all cultivation processes and the cultivation team to ensure growing and preparing the highest quality, premium marijuana for distribution and sale at NJ CCF and other New Jersey dispensaries.
Leadership:
Effectively leads, develops and manages a high performing cultivation team to deliver high quality, premium products based on efficient and effective workflows and a KPI approach to help drive continuous improvement. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Providing technical guidance and training to consistently execute and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive ongoing operational excellence.
- Manage staff scheduling, the bi-weekly payroll and PTO.
- Performs annual performance reviews for every team member on the Cultivation team.
Operational Duties:
Manages the cultivation environment by keeping all cultivation systems in great working order and keeping in inventory the necessary horticultural supplies to optimize the health and productivity (yield) of each crop.
- Monitors a variety of system maintenance programs such as HVAC interfaces, gas exchange monitors, lighting controllers and irrigation timers, ensuring efficient and effective environmental performance
- Promptly identifies and addresses any issues with lighting, gas exchange, hydrology or irrigation and temperature and humidity; partnering with Facilities / Maintenance.
- Partners with the Facilities / Maintenance team to keep all systems in good working order and schedules repairs in a timely fashion.
- Manages supply levels and department requisitions and ensure the timely availability of all relevant horticultural supplies.
Administrative Duties:
Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols associated with the cultivation of crops within the facility, relating to, but not limited to the following:
- Propagation and the maintenance of healthy and available mother plants
- Crop care and routine manicuring (e.g., pruning, trellis netting)
- Plant nutrition and irrigation
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program
Additionally:
- Develops and executes a cultivation strategy and crop management protocols to deliver premium cultivation to help achieve the company’s financial performance objectives (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Issues a weekly summary report of progress vs KPIs to the management team.
- Develops and issues a monthly report evaluating inventory and supplies (to avoid any operational disruption)
- Participates in the hiring, training and evaluation of all cultivation team members; partnering with Human Resources

The Extraction Technician will work under the direction of the Extraction Manager, Supervisor & Lead and is responsible for the facility's overall extraction equipment operation and maintenance, inventory, processing protocols, strategy, and day to day production.
Responsibilities Include:
- Selecting and preparing equipment for extraction and distillation
- Operating extraction and distillation equipment and handling extraction gases winterizing, refining, distilling, and/or formulating final product
- Cleaning and maintenance of lab and extraction equipment as required by procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
- Develop and maintain product formulations and workflow procedures
- Maintain accountability of all raw materials, finished products, and by-products
- Maintain written and electronic records of product and inventory
- Maintain safety equipment and records
- Perform clerical work as it pertains to extraction lab activities
- Participate in packaging and production activities
- Reviewing all training procedures and continuing education on extraction and distillation methodology to ensure best of class performance on all job functions

Basic Qualifications:

The Quality and Compliance Technician works closely with Compliance Manager in managing all quality management (QA/QC) and compliance operations at IGF cultivation and production facility in Freeport, IL. Specifically, the Quality and Compliance Technician will play a support role in upgrading or developing and implementing quality assurance policies and standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and applicable federal, state, county, and municipal laws, regulations, ordinances, and regulations.
Position Summary:
Carryout functions of the facility's Quality and Compliance department and assist management in ensuring employees understand and follow all standard operating procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under Manager supervision, assists with maintaining and updating Quality Management System.
- Assists other facility personnel in completing process and product testing to ensure quality standards are met and oversee determination of finished product disposition.
- Assist Manager in review and approval of any deviations to procedures and submit SOP revision request as necessary.
- Maintain sanitation and quality control practices that ensure the safety and quality of cannabis, including purity and consistency.
- Support Manager with review of findings and follow-up action of any investigation performed.
- Assist with assembling employees, or experts needed to conduct a cannabis product complaint investigation.
- Under Manager direction implement recall procedures that are supported by test results or other scientific documentation or expert opinion or as mandated by applicable regulations.
- Assist in implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to promote compliance.
- Assist in conducting or overseeing audits of the facility.
- Assist in investigation and resolution of compliance concerns, issues, or violations.
- Support Manager in collaborating with the PM and/or corporate compliance team to compile compliance concerns, issues or violations.
- Stay up to date with changes in rules and regulations.
- Assist Manager with promoting awareness and responsibility through training and regular communication throughout the facility.
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a QA/QC role in a production facility preferred.
- Prior compliance experience preferred, ideally in regulated industry, such as cannabis, alcohol, tobacco, or manufacturing.
- H.S. Diploma or equvalent required; Associate's degree preferred

- Maintain consistency and discretion when pruning crop at various stages

- Crop propagation to meet inventory requirements as determined by Cultivation Lead
- Maintains accurate records of reservoirs, equipment and other crop related logs assigned by Cultivation Lead
- Accurately scans inventory into designated location(s)
- Proper usage, maintenance and storage of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to: shop vacuums, pumps, hoses, carts, fiskars, scissors, loppers, stools, gloves, rags, and goggles.
- Completes daily and periodic cleaning tasks as assigned. Daily cleaning consists of: sweeping and spot mopping all areas on the cultivation floor, common bathroom, break room, and loading area
- Proper disposal of waste at the end of each day
- Assists in completing other secondary cultivation tasks at the direction of the Cultivation Lead according to company needs
- Maintains a clean, safe environment inside the cultivation area
- Other duties as needed/assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in horticulture, agriculture, biology, chemistry or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in horticulture, botany, or related field
- Knowledge of basic computer & office equipment operations (inventory systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Math required for inventory, projections, and measurements
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
- This position requires occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects
- Must pass background check (state mandated)
