Summary
The Processing Technician II is responsible for leading the processing and production of cannabis products and bi-products. This position performs a variety of tasks and projects including processing, trimming, making pre-rolls, and packaging.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Production Support
- Manicure, manufacture, and package cannabis flowers, products and biproducts.
- Use various equipment, such as a shredder and knock-box, to create high-quality pre-rolls.
- Provide quality control on cannabis products and bi-products and adhere to inventory controls.
- Engage in folding dutch crowns, counting finished pre-rolls, and packaging and labelling final product.
- Audit packaging and potency labels.
- Accurately track all processing and product information.
- Meet production goals set by Production Manager.
- Work closely with the Production Manager and Inventory Technician to ensure timely and accurate tracking and transfers of product.
- May assist in training of Production Technician I employees
- Store and transport product in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of cultivation and production zones, tools and equipment.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following OSHA regulations, organization standards and legal regulations.

Education and Experience

The Harvest Team Lead is responsible for providing on-site cultivation in multiple indoor grow rooms. The Security Manager establishes safe and secure environments for patients, team members, and our partner communities by ensuring our security presence is seamlessly integrated with our customer service brand. This position establishes and enforces local security protocols and oversees security system functions while maintaining positive relationships with patients, management, cultivation, and dispensary staff. Security Systems/Processes
- Reports to the National Security Director
- Protecting personnel and assets from harm and theft
- Ensuring policies and protocols are being followed for employee safety, diversion prevention, product transportation and storage, and waste disposal
- Ensuring all local security personnel are fully trained on customer service brand and standards
- Enforces plans and procedures to address a wide range of security-related events (including the establishment of emergency response and business continuity protocols for the business)
- Maintains the security systems for facilities as part of the dispensary launch process
- Partnering with cultivators, processors, and dispensary staff to ensure the seed to sale inventory system is being used and maintained by industry standards and practices

The Facilities Maintenance Manager performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of Justice Cannabis Co. facilities including oversight of buildings, greenhouses, and grounds keeping. This role functions within the operations department and coordinates and assists with the execution of production and operations projects, as well as safety and skills training for workers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Continually inspects and assesses facility structure to determine needed repairs and renovations
- Plans and coordinates all repairs, installations, and refurbishments with site management to ensure adequate resources (financial and human) are attained to facilitate projects/improvements
- Maintains inventory of critical items for building operations (light bulbs, toilet paper, etc.) and refreshes inventory as required
- Supervises maintenance related contractors and vendors in the performance of outsourced tasks or functions
- Collaborates with the site management team to ensure facility compliance with state, federal, local, and industry specific legislation/regulations
- Assists management in identifying, planning, and budgeting for building repairs, improvements, and expansions
- Oversees utility costs/consumption and continually seeks opportunities to improve energy utilization and reduce costs without impacting projected yields

The Facilities Maintenance Manager performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of Justice Cannabis Co. facilities including oversight of buildings, greenhouses, and grounds keeping. This role functions within the operations department and coordinates and assists with the execution of production and operations projects, as well as safety and skills training for workers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Continually inspects and assesses facility structure to determine needed repairs and renovations
- Plans and coordinates all repairs, installations, and refurbishments with site management to ensure adequate resources (financial and human) are attained to facilitate projects/improvements
- Maintains inventory of critical items for building operations (light bulbs, toilet paper, etc.) and refreshes inventory as required
- Supervises maintenance related contractors and vendors in the performance of outsourced tasks or functions
- Collaborates with the site management team to ensure facility compliance with state, federal, local, and industry specific legislation/regulations
- Assists management in identifying, planning, and budgeting for building repairs, improvements, and expansions
- Oversees utility costs/consumption and continually seeks opportunities to improve energy utilization and reduce costs without impacting projected yields
- Collaborates with the site management team to establish and execute an annual facilities budget
- Manages the prioritization and execution of work orders within the facility
- Develops and executes a preventative maintenance program for the facilities, vehicles and equipment
- Manages and maintains service and repair records for all managed assets (vehicles, generators, etc.)
- Operates a variety of tools/equipment including automobiles, power tools, hand tools, hvac systems, fans and filters, dehumidifiers, power edger's, power mowers, irrigation system, blowers, aerators, power sprayers, atomizer and backpack sprayer, and other related equipment
- Maintains greenhouse irrigation systems, hvac systems, and septic systems for both indoor and outdoor cultivation
- Performs skilled interior building maintenance such as painting, carpentry, welding, and hvac repairs
- Assists in gathering project information for facility expansion and improvement projects
- Monitors work in progress for compliance with company policies; and, ensures strict adherence to state and federal health and safety standards
- Reports upcoming services or routine maintenance jobs to management to ensure budgetary resources are obtained
- Necessary skills include mechanical expertise in the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, plumbing, motors, pumps, automotive & small engines. This is a "hands on ...roll up your sleeves" position.
- Maintains facility vendor contracts, and service agreements to ensure all activities are compliant with agreed upon terms
- Provides regular reporting to Site Management on facility issues, actions, and plans
- Ensures all required and necessary training protocols are up-to-date
- Performs other related duties as assigned
People/General Management
- Manages and supervises facility and maintenance technicians, and supervises seasonal work groups performing landscaping and maintenance around the company’s structures such as cleaning, mowing grass, trimming trees and shrubbery, fertilizing and watering landscaped areas; and building maintenance such as painting, carpentry, welding, minor electrical and hvac repairs.
- Trains facilities technicians and seasonal workers on the proper use of equipment, required PPE, and other Cal/OSHA safety and security standards.
- Maintains employee training records.
- Safely transport crew (s) to and from work sites, arranging carpool details during harvest cycles.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Trade or Bachelor’s Degree or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years experience of supervising work crew(s) on and off site in a construction lead/foreman role
- Construction or trade school experience in highly desirable

To ensure the highest quality cannabis, this individual will excel at leading, coaching and coordinating daily schedules for the grow team. The Cultivation Manager works closely with leadership in defining strategy, resource planning, and short/long term goals.
The Cultivation Manager develops and executes cultivation procedures and environmental factors, including, nutrient programs, spray applications, irrigation timing and overseeing indoor plant production operations. These functions are tied together with the development of stringent and concise standard operating procedures for all operations.
With a robust knowledge and understanding of cannabis growing and Good Agriculture Practices, this person will implement best practices while considering the cost/benefit impact of decisions. Working closely with the Director of Operations, and maintenance personnel, this person will help monitor and make recommendations to the CEO on grow room infrastructure including, lighting, HVAC, irrigation and environmental factors to ensure an optimal grow environment
Cleanliness and adherence to biosecurity policies and procedures are of the utmost importance. This role will work closely with the Director of Operations to consistently evaluate, define and refine biosecurity measures and cleanliness standards in both cultivation and production space. They will create structures for communicating and evaluating the effectiveness of biosecurity measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate operations, resources and schedules, daily, throughout the grow process
- Monitor and troubleshoot cannabis plants growth and development including but not limited to nutrients and environment factors deficiencies
- Complete tasks associated with avoidance, mitigation and resolution techniques for disease and pest management.
