The function of the Inventory Assistant Manager is to support the Inventory Manager in overseeing all inventory department operations and personnel. The Inventory Assistant Manager will aid in assuring inventory product is received, handled, stored, protected, prepared, tracked and reported upon in accordance with all state regulations and all Berkshire Root’s in-house policies.
The Inventory Assistant Manager is responsible for aiding the Inventory Manager in efforts to maintain and evolve efficient inventory procedures, and for additionally making certain that all inventory personnel are fully trained, supported and capable of performing their required job functions in adherence with such procedures. The Inventory Assistant Manager will assist with staff oversight, training/education and scheduling and seek to foster a safe, organized and enjoyable work atmosphere for their team. They will aid in assuring that all inventory related information and pertinent updates are relayed to the rest of the BR team. They will act as the main point-of-contact for the Inventory Department in the Inventory Manager’s absence.
The Inventory Assistant Manager will also assist with the monitoring of sales and market research to help identify product/sales trends and aid in wholesale purchase planning under the Inventory Manager’s direction. The Assistant Manager will also help in efforts to reduce and prevent product loss, creating processes and protocols to help with loss prevention or daily transaction discrepancies.
The Inventory Assistant Manager will assist in maintaining all processes pertaining to product knowledge and descriptions as it pertains to menu development, updates, and training to ensure all information is made available to each department as is needed.
Management Requirements:

Specific Operational Responsibilities include:
· Aid in the oversight and execution of all daily inventory operations, helping the team achieve all goals in a compliant and timely fashion.
· Aid with scheduling and other staff-management tasks (training, reviews, etc.)
· Complete daily, weekly and monthly inventory counts with corresponding “Findings” reports outlining count discrepancies and reconciliation needs.
· Assist with maintaining, completing and periodically checking inventory changes and updates in both Metrc and Leaf Logix platforms to assure all product movements, internal/external transfers, adjustments/reconciliations, etcetera, are correctly documented.
· Assist with the review of internal sales trends and market research to aid in product purchase planning and creation of inventory requests.
· Assist with scheduling and coordination of all wholesale deliveries.
· Intake all wholesale delivery products physically and electronically in accordance with regulations and internal operating procedures.
· Track product to be wasted and coordinate with Pittsfield BR team for waste/quarantine product transfer.
· Prepare all product for sale, including verification of labels and packaging in accordance with house policies and regulations.
· Monitor and fill product stock in both fill station and mission control as needed for sales.Maintaining a strong attention to the cadence needed to restock efficiently and in anticipation of the needs daily, weekly, etc.
· Ensure that all inventory areas are clean, organized, and safe.
· Update all BR staff regarding new product, product recalls, audit findings (if pertinent) and other necessary inventory information regarding product as instructed.
· In conjunction with retail management efforts update and maintain all store menus and product information
· Help to educate, train and grow team and together find ways to evolve/streamline processes.
· Stay Current with all METRC, POS and software updates as released, ensuring all notices and updates are read thoroughly, vetted properly, and that all new operational steps or requirements are adhered to. Ensure all Inventory personnel and retail management team(s) are kept informed on all inventory changes
· Maintain highest standard of professionalism and personal hygiene

We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager in our Adult-Use Cannabis Dispensary located in East Boston. The Assistant Manager is tasked with the balance of monitoring and developing the guest experience, assisting with overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary as well as managing and supporting staff. · Troubleshooting computer and payment system issues arising on sales floor. Handle complex register transactions (voids and exchanges) with accuracy and discretion, as needed.
· Ensure that all relevant paperwork, including opening and closing paperwork and customer records are properly recorded and maintained.
· Accounting for all the days’ payments; cash and debit, accurately communicating and recording all discrepancies. Closing all drawers and payments as specified and preparing the retail drawers for the next day’s activities

Guest Service Agents will be tasked with delivering a superior customer service experience and accurately performing retail transactions. GSAs will maintain willful knowledge of company standard operating procedures, all regulations guidance’s, and have a comprehensive understanding of all cannabis products and non-cannabis products sold. GSAs will assist in opening and closing duties, as well as inventory processes and cleanliness of all spaces. GSAs will not only handle customer service needs but crowd control and manage processes inside and outside the dispensary. GSAs will spend time on the Order Fulfillment Team and on the Retail Floor. GSA’s will have scheduled shifts for each department throughout the week.
The Order Fulfillment Team will oversee all pick-ups orders and activities. There will be a designated team filling the orders, an expediter that will check the orders for accuracy and will reach out to customers in the event of product inquiries, and a mission control position will review the order and organize the storage of the orders by birth date. The Order Fulfillment team is comprised of the following roles: Fill Station Agent, Expediter + Mission Control Agents.
Fill Station Agents will receive all online orders via POS system, they are responsible for creating profiles, accepting orders, scanning product into POS cart, and packaging, stickering the product into the correct exit vessel for sale.
Expediter is the fill station captain. They are responsible for managing the guest list ensuring timely responses and accuracy of the queue. They will ensure all orders are accurate and accounted for. They will be responsible for all guest correspondence pertaining to menu updates and product issues or changes. The Expediter is responsible for maintaining the inventory needs of the fill stations and for orchestrating all product changes and needs within the Order Fulfillment Team. The Expediter will exclusively operate the dumbwaiter and ensure all operational and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
Mission Control position organizes all fulfilled orders by birth date, is in constant communication with in-take via walkie-talkie to streamline pick-up order window. Will help supervisor with opening and closing duties, updating menus, counting inventory, and helping with inventory reconciliations. Mission Control represents the eyes and ears of the fulfillment team. All correspondence regarding order specifications and modifications will be provided to the fulfillment team via Mission control.

Job Description
Pioneering adult-use retail marijuana dispensary opening in East Boston, MA, searching for a self-motivated, experienced Retail Dispensary Manager.
Expected to open in the Spring, the dispensary will likely be the first adult-use store to open in Boston. The Retail Dispensary Manager candidate needs to demonstrate prior leadership in managing a retail store team. The ideal candidate will be fully trained by Berkshire Roots at our existing dispensary in Pittsfield, MA. Additionally, the candidate will help hire and train the East Boston staff. The Manager will need to apply knowledge of specific cannabis products, policies and procedures to the new store to ensure the high standards set by the company and the state regulatory requirements are met.
Applicants should have prior managerial experience, basic understanding of cannabis products, and retail store best practices.
The company expects the Retail Dispensary Manger to be “all-in”: dedicated, reliable and available. Motivated people who want to help build this dispensary from the ground up and who want to work directly with the CEO, retail management staff, law enforcement and local/state government officials are ideal candidates.
The Retail Dispensary Manager will be the face of the dispensary and the go-to person for the team.
