Overview
The security and protective officer specializes in entry control, behavior detection, and incident response. We protect visitors, staff, the collection, and the physical facility by patrolling their assigned posts and remaining alert at all times to detect suspicious or threatening behavior. As a highly visible member of the Medical dispensary staff, we provides excellent customer service by treating visitors with respect, consideration, and tact while providing general information and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Keenly observes and engages visitors to detect suspicious or threatening behavior.
- Monitors and controls entry of assigned post.
- Maintains the highest level of professionalism in both behavior and appearance.
- Patrols assigned areas in a conscientious manner during public hours.
- Prevents unauthorized persons from handling, touching or otherwise tampering
- Reports observed, potential safety violations, critical incidents or unusual activity completing written reports as required.
- Performs opening and closing procedures to include unlocking and locking interior and exterior doors and performing facility sweeps.
- Assists visitors by opening doors as they enter as required by emergency situations.
- Enhances the visitor experience by being polite, friendly and providing information in a responsive way.
- Handles security situations in a tactful manner while making every effort to ensure that visitors feel welcome.

RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to Royce Security Supervisor. Works closely with other members of the Royce Security/ US Pro team. Interacts with customers in a friendly, positive and helpful manner.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in security, law enforcement, or military related position.
- Experience working with the public.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatically proactive.
- Ability to remain alert and focused, both during busy periods and when alone at assigned post.
- Must pass drug screen and criminal records check with no recent felony or serious misdemeanor convictions in security-related areas.
- Extensive background check will be conducted. Past job experiences as well as FBI and BCI checks will be conducted
- ABSOLUTELY NO felonies or pending charges
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Dispensary Assistant Store Manager
Under the direction of the Dispensary Manager, Assistant Manager will oversee the operation of the Curaleaf Dispensary. Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the Dispensary Manager. This person will work to improve dispensary sales, profitability, and image through extraordinary customer service, protection of store assets, supervising team members in the absence of the store manager.
Customer Experience
- Monitors and analyzes the customer service provided by team members. Offers feedback and coaching.

The Role
As a wholesale facility controller at GTI, you will perform and coordinate all facility level accounting and financial activities to ensure financial integrity of facility operations. This role will support all day-to-day accounting, planning, and reporting to accurately reflect the facility’s finances. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying potential cost saving opportunities to maximize facility profitability.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly closing of financials for facility in accordance with GAAP and Company policy
- Prepare monthly analysis of financial results including variance / bridging analysis in coordination with the facility GM and operational staff
- Coordination and oversight of physical inventories and audits with plant sites
- Prepare daily/weekly labor utilization plan, including headcount and overtime reporting
- Lead and prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts comparing projected results to prior year, budget and previous forecasts
- Coordinate evaluation of capital projects and approval process
- Perform operational analysis, trend projections and forecasting
- Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs
- Ensure Accounts Receivables are current while addressing any collection concerns
- Provide reports and data to manufacturing department heads to assist them in managing their department expenses (including, but not limited to spending reports, operating reports, and variance analyses)

A packaging technician has the responsibility of preparing bulk cannabis extract and flower for retail sale. This is a manufacturing position in a production environment at our facility based in Oakland, CA.

- Preparation and cleaning of boxes, jars, lids, and equipment for packaging.
- Filling gram jars of water hash, live rosin, butane hash oil, sauce, etc.

The Dispensary Manager ensures that the dispensary department operations are in compliance with the DOH and internally approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). The Dispensary Manager collaborates with the Regional VP of Retail and leadership team to develop, document and implement practices, policies, and strategies that support a performance and results-driven culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains highest level of presentation, customer service, and compassion to all patients
- Responsible for managing the dispensary department in a manner that supports the organizations mission
- Provide departmental leadership to assure that all departmental operations such as admissions, patient consulting, product dispensing, cash management, inventory management, inventory auditing, outreach, marketing and ordering are functioning with integrity and in the most cost efficient, compassionate and compliant manner
- Performing monthly, quarterly and annual sales reviews and provide suggestions for improvement to the Executive Director
- Responsible for ensuring vigilance, adherence and departmental compliance with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program and HIPPA regulations including but not limited to confidentiality, training, patient record keeping, submissions of reports, preparation of policies and procedures, acting as a departmental contact person for regulators and law enforcement personnel
- Reviewing, maintaining and updating all departmental SOP's and assuring that any changes are communicated to employees and the most recent SOP versions are available 24/7 for planned and unplanned audits by regulators and organization management
- Overseeing and ensuring cash management procedures are being followed including, transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, maintaining and reconciling cash with all departmental SOP's
Compliance
- Practice policies and procedures related to the protection of personal and sensitive data must be adhered to at all times and only divulged to authorize persons
- Assists the Regional Manager in maintaining all regulatory licenses and renewals
- Responsible for ensuring all employees state registration identification cards are renewed each year
- First point of departmental contact with State and Local regulatory representatives
- Responsible for leading and complying with planned and unplanned quarterly audits / inspections
Inventory Control and Management
- Creating new product and price points for cannabis products and paraphernalia products
- Ensuring proper management of pre-packaged inventory and inventory movement between the vault and dispensing stations
- Overseeing and ensuring nightly audits & 30-day audits are being conducted in conjunction with all departments
- Responsible for organizing regular meetings with suppliers to optimize discounts and achieve the best pricing in the market
Marketing and Outreach
- Organize and lead guest tours and maintaining relationships with physicians, patients, politicians and professionals in the community that we serve
- Responsible for ongoing education and outreach program relating to medical cannabis for the benefit of member patients
- Responsible for maintaining all social media content in a professional way that portrays a best in class company image
- Coordinate on the success of promotions, coupon and recommend future promotions and sales
- Measure customer satisfaction through surveys and interviews
- Responsible for the preparation of content for all educational materials and presentations
Human Resources
- Partners with the Human Resources Director in reviewing salaries, writing appraisals, and disciplinary actions when required
- Records Retention
- Responsible for resolving day to day employee benefits administration issue
- Planning & coordination of staff meetings and company sponsored events
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business, management, or related areas
- Experience working in a heavily regulated industry; 5-7 years in progressively responsible retail experience, including at least three years in a management position
- Proficient computing skills

- Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction
- High level of integrity

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards.
- Develop and maintain rapport with our patients, vendors, service providers and staff.
- Ensure members' concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate member requests and/or problems to management when needed.
- Recommend, select and help locate the proper medicine for patient depending on their individual needs.
- Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to patients clearly and effectively.
- Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management.
- Set up and break down display cases daily. Assist in display maintenance and housekeeping.
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock, and participate in inventory counts.
- Answer phone calls and forward to the appropriate staff member.
- Frequently maintain dispensary's cleanliness, i.e. dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping and sanitization.
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other related work as required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience in the medical cannabis industry desirable, but not required.
- Must be 21 years old
- Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computing skills
- Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match
- Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction
- High level of integrity
