The Inventory Manager is responsible for the dispensary's entire inventory and counts all items in stock. They will analyze inventory records, delegate tasks as needed, order supplies, manage the processing of defective items, and devise ways to reduce inaccurate inventory reporting and theft.
As the Inventory Manager, you are required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner:
- Maintain accurate counts of all cannabis inventory by doing daily counts and performing reconciliations when necessary
- Ensure that all product received is properly tagged according to state and local regulations and is accompanied by all necessary paperwork

The Zen Leaf Dispensary is dedicated to providing excellent patient care on every visit in an efficient and friendly manner. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time Budtenders to join our upcoming Charleston, IL dispensary. Budtenders are responsible for providing exceptional individualized customer service, educational consulting, and patient record management. This job pairs unparalleled attention to a customer's needs with ongoing inventory maintenance.
This is a fast-paced retail job. Each Budtender focuses on one patient at a time in a boutique setting. A successful Budtender will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective verbal and listening communications skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Accountability, dependability, and adaptability are all necessary skills in a growing industry that strictly complies with the regulations of the Illinois Department of Health.
Responsibilities
- Welcomes all visitors to the dispensary
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of cannabis products and pricing to provide exceptional customer service to dispensary customers;
- Advises customers on products in compliance with all dispensing rules, regulations, and limitations in a friendly and professional manner
- Provides customers with information on types, methods and effectiveness of different cannabis products (does not provide medical advice)
- Dispenses regulated products in compliance with state dispensing limitations, including limits on the quantity dispensed, limits on the form or dosage of cannabis, limits on the types of products dispensed, and/or the frequency of purchases
- Stocks, merchandises, and replenishes displays of regulated and unregulated inventory
- Completes all sales by entering accurate data for each transaction in the business management software platforms in compliance with company policies and state dispensing limitations
Requirements

- Strong computer skills, point of sale software, and cash management knowledge.
- Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.

- Prior customer service or hospitality experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a state and federal criminal background check
- High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required for all positions
- Knowledge of cannabis plant varieties and uses a plus

The Zen Leaf Dispensary is dedicated to providing exceptional customer experience with every visit in an efficient and friendly manner. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispensary Manager to oversee all retail operations at our upcoming Charleston, IL Dispensary. The Dispensary Manager will be responsible for managing all personnel, inventory purchasing and tracking, sales goals and bonus targets, and the general day-to-day matters. The Dispensary Manager will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain store goals, protocols, policies and procedures in accordance with company standards, as well as communicate broader company objectives and standards.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for managing dispensary cashflow, staff, schedules, inventory and customer relations
· Serves as a role model and resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations;
· Coordinates with the corporate retail team to ensure accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff.
· Drives the implementation of company programs by motivating and supporting the store team to develop and implement plans that meet objectives.
· Manages with integrity and honesty.
· Plans, identifies, communicates and delegates responsibilities to the Assistant Dispensary Manager(s) and/or store-level team to ensure a smooth flow of operations within the company.
· Creates implementation plans to achieve both operational efficiency and optimal results.
· Solicits feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the community.
· Provide all dispensary employees with training, coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities
· Provide regular inventory, sales and profitability reports to the corporate retail team.
· Maintain and responsible for accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, customer records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with IL laws and regulations
· Maintain inventory control system and perform daily counts of all cannabis and cannabis products in the facility
· Assisting in interviewing process and candidate selection.
Requirements
· At least 21 years of age.
· High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager and/or Store Manager in retail or hospitality required
· Demonstrated passion to serving the adult cannabis community.
· Proven ability to manage teams effectively
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Understanding of accounting principles and ability to interpret financial data.
· Computer operating skills
· Must be able to pass a background check
· Experience analyzing financial reports
· Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
· Working knowledge of business processes and system development
