THE COMPANY
Parea Biosciences is a start-up PA Medical Marijuana grower-processor with Headquarters in Carlisle, but with operations in Coal Township. We started operations in April 2020 and are rapidly scaling to meet the demands of patients. As a start-up company, finance and accounting employees are asked to perform many activities across a broad range of responsibilities. We are looking for team players who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help the organization with whatever needs to be done. Those looking for a tightly defined responsibility set and only want to perform activities in that set need not apply. We are a subsidiary of Ubuntu LLC. Ubuntu also owns a PA Medical Marijuana retail dispensary license with current operations in Williamsport, PA and plans to open two more locations within the next 12 months. THE ROLE
- Responsible for the general accounting function as it relates to Corporate and Subsidiary level accounting operations, including but not limited to booking daily sales receipts and cash reconciliation, generating invoices, assist in accounts payable / receivable, processing payroll, credit card reconciliations, monthly accruals and posting journal entries,
- Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement account analysis and reconciliation on monthly and/or quarterly basis
- Verify posted transactions to the general ledger for accuracy
- Ensure appropriate classification of costs/expenses, in conjunction with AP
- Review and reconcile bank transactions, including but not limited to: general and administrative expenses, accruals, inventory, COGS, and CIP/Fixed assets
- Facilitate external audits ensuring complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests
- Support the year-end financial statement audit and quarterly reviews
- Perform other duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA pursuit a plus
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an accountant. Experience in the Agriculture industry preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE Cultivation Technician
JOB OVERVEW The Cultivation Technician provides daily care of medical marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for shipment to the processing facility. During the cultivation season, the Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing and packaging of the plants.
Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position.
REPORTS TO: Lead Grower
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Daily care of medical marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants.
- Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Lead Grower.
- Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation.
- Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the medical marijuana plants, including hanging, curing and drying the plants.
- Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of waste according to strict compliance guidelines.
- Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process.
- Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.
- Carefully follow directions as provided by the Lead Grower.
- Willingness to continue to learn best practices of medical marijuana cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture and greenhouse operating systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in plant science, horticulture, agriculture or related field is preferred, but not necessary. We will provide comprehensive training.
