What You’ll Get to Do (Responsibilities)
As an LVT with Sibley Animal Hospital you will get to fully utilize the skills you’ve worked hard to gain! We honor the distinction between Techs and Assistants so you can rest assured that your training will be highly valued. The primary responsibilities of a Licensed Tech are:
- Assisting in the exam room and curbside by obtaining pet histories, relaying accurate information to the doctors, and assisting the doctors with administering vaccines, blood draws, and dispensing medications
- Being comfortable in all aspects of the Veterinary Technician role including but not limited to Lab Tests, Dentistry, Surgery, Exam Rooms, Triage Cases, Patient TPRs and assisting with Minor Procedures
- Complete and maintain accurate medical notes
- Assist with Marketing through client communication, case discussion, the products and services we offer, and the doctors recommendations.
What you Should Bring to the Team (Qualifications)
Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced LVT, we would love to meet you! The qualifications we are in search of are:
- An High School Degree with a minimum of 1 year of some college
- A current Veterinary Technician License or scheduled testing date preferred
- A minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of Cornerstone PMS preferred
- Familiarity with medical and veterinary terminology
- Ability to remain calm and exhibit patience and compassion during emergency and challenging situations
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to understand and translate Spanish would be considered a plus!
- Strong computer skills and knowledge

Qualifications
- Ensure a positive first impression of the hospital to clients, professionals and other businesses by presenting a professional appearance and attitude, remaining friendly and courteous at all times, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk environment
- Possessing excellent telephone skills and the ability to manage and direct a conversation to schedule appointments
- Answering phones and assisting clients, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, collecting payments, assisting with marketing efforts by following up on recommendations discussed during the exam and treatment, reviewing discharge instructions and medications with clients upon departure.
- Assisting potential Veterinary Assistants with recording waits and updating information
- A sincere interest in the veterinary field and a desire to learn as much as possible to best assist clients and pets.
While previous veterinary experience will help you hit the ground running, this position is open to candidates who have not worked in the field prior. The primary job function will be on the Front Desk but you will also get to work alongside our fantastic Veterinarians, assisting them in caring for pets in the exam room and treatment areas. An interest in these responsibilities is an absolute must!
What you Should Bring to the Team (Qualifications)
- A High School Degree
- A minimum of 4 years consistent Customer Service experience or at least two years of some college
- Familiarity with medical and veterinary terminology
- Ability to remain calm and exhibit patience and compassion during emergency and challenging situations
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to understand and translate Spanish would be considered a plus!
- Strong computer skills; Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm accurately
Hours & Availability
Candidates available for both part-time and full-time hours are invited to apply. Schedules will be between the hours of:
- Monday and Tuesday from 8am to 6pm
- Wednesdays from 8am to 2pm
- Thursdays and Fridays from 8am to 6pm
- Saturdays from 8am to 1pm
Sibley Animal Hospital will be closed Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12pm to 2pm.

We are growing – in more ways than one! Wilder is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Lead Technical Grower to run the state-of-the-art vertical farm at Wilder Field’s new facility. This role is highly collaborative and will work closely with the Director of Operations and Head of Horticulture. The Lead Technical Grower will leverage objective data to manage Wilder’s growing environment to ensure yield and quality targets are met. This position requires the ability to design and execute production schedules and R&D experiments to meet project goals. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the plants and the systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the execution of daily farm operations including space allocation, seeding, transplanting, harvest, environmental control, fertigation, and irrigation
- Conduct pest and disease management
- Ensure all good manufacturing practices (GMPs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and policies are followed
- Ensure that environmental conditions, plant nutrition, and company processes are maintained
- Develop standard documentation for processes and procedures
- Setup and apply irrigation strategy guidelines as well as operational troubleshooting of water systems and equipment
- Implement fertilization strategy and plant protection strategy SOPs provided by the Head of Horticulture
- Supervise grow team performance in conjunction with the Director of Operations
- Support the design and execution of experiments in controlled environments at both pilot and commercial scale focused on improving plant quality, performance, and yield
- Review crop schedules and adjust as needed for sales, operations or plant needs
- Manage grow operations team: set pace, establish consistency in growing processes
- Maintain high level of organization/sanitation in nursery and grow rooms, manage overall system sanitation
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a management position in commercial greenhouse/CEA production
- Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field
- A curious mindset, high attention to detail, focus, a hands-on and problem-solving mindset
- Experience with fertilizers, chemicals, and irrigation
- Experience with data collection, analysis and documentation tools
- Ability to solve problems and improvise as needed in a high pressure fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HACCP principles/food safety a plus
- Strongly preferred: experience with growing leafy greens and herbs in a high-tech greenhouse or indoor farming setup
- Strongly preferred: familiarity with identification of pests, plant diseases & physiological disorders

The Retail Associate collaborates with the dispensary’s management team to ensure every guest receives the highest level of hospitality and experiences cannabis in the best way possible. WORKING CONDITIONS
