Full Job Description:
FLYTE Cannabis is a brand new Retail Dispensary concept in the city of Cambridge opening in December 2022. This is a family owned dispensary and we are looking for a full time General Manager.
Position Overview:
The General Manager is responsible for interfacing and consulting with qualified patients and caregivers, and administering approved medical marijuana products. The General Manager oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensary to include customer identification and registration, record retention, product tracking and inventory control as directed by the CEO.
The GM will report to the CEO who has has experience in successfully launching two retail dispensaries in Massachusetts by the concept of Resinate.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- The General Manager ensures compliance with all MA medical marijuana rules and regulations governing the act, and directly supervises the activity within the dispensary to include dispensary staff training and education.
- The General Manager provides management and leadership in the Dispensary to include monitoring all point of sale transactions.
- The General Manager manages patient specific logs as required (the receipt, storage and auditing of all inventory), is responsible for ordering new inventory and supplies, and maintains accurate records.
- As the responsible party at the Dispensary, this position resolves all inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts.
- The General Manager is responsible for the development of the Dispensary privacy policies and procedures, the security and confidentiality of all patient information, as well as overall compliance with HIPAA.
- Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the plan, consistent with established safety procedures
- Establishes methods to follow the operating plan in compliance with the state regulations
- Maintains records required by public health law and ensures quality assurance plans, including but not limited to plans to detect, identify and prevent dispensing errors related to product packaging and labeling
- Manages and implements policies and procedures for any retesting of returned approved medical marijuana products, storage and/or disposal of such products, and meeting reporting requirements for adverse events and product recall
- This position is responsible for assisting with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking, record keeping, record retention and surveillance related to all product at every stage of storage, delivery, transportation, and distribution.
- Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance
- Implement HR policies and programs in support of company initiatives. Direct all compliance efforts for the company to minimize risk
- Ensure job descriptions for all positions are accurate and current
- Conduct investigations: respond to unemployment claims, EEOC, DOL, and/or employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civic rights complaints. Settle grievances in coordination with senior counsel.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.

Accomplishes the objectives of the Cannabis Dispensary operations by overseeing and managing the daily operations; acts as a steward of operational excellence and ensures compliant practices in a highly-regulated industry; and ensures maximum sales, profitability and effective and efficient service to customers. - Must possess valid Marijuana Workerâs Permit.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background screening / investigation according to the established requirements below.

Job Title: General Manager
Reports to: Owner
Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of all dispensary locations, handling the needs of all customers, and developing a team who are passionate about cannabis and compliant with state and local rules and regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Participate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance our mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of assigned staff, and make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, termination, or advancement of employees.
- Set sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them.
- Work with wholesalers to negotiate and procure an adequate supply of quality products.
- Fulfill staffing needs and coordinate scheduling.
- Responsible for ensuring the medical patient audit is completed bi-weekly.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Implement and design SOPs .
- Monitor inventory.
- Monitor sales trends by category and vendor.
- Pop up schedule and marketing promotions.
- Respond to vendor emails, text messages, phone calls.
- Checking sales in METRC/fixing any discrepancies.
- Includes accurate data entry and usage of METRC and POS.
- Responsible for maintaining customer relationships, including handling issues, concerns, complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Job Specifications:
- Knowledge and consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills.
- Must be highly motivated, detail oriented and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word, metrc, POS system, excel, SharePoint, LeafLink and electronic mail.

- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures.
Additional Requirements:
- Colorado driverâs license or State ID card.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must obtain and retain a state-issued MED badge.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a management environment.
- 2+ years of cannabis retail experience preferred.

Position
The dispensary General Manager reports directly to the VP of Retail & Business Development and is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of dispensary operations â from a best-in-class customer experience to deliveries to inventory to local marketing â as well as personnel management and communication. The dispensary General Manager must have an exceptional personality and work ethic, plus have knowledge of cannabis and product care. The individual will work closely with staff to ensure monthly goals are met, policies are enforced, and brand awareness is increased. The individual must also adhere to and train others on the procedures of Shire Cannabis Co, while ensuring compliance with all state and local laws and regulations, bringing their expertise to create efficiencies within the organization while upholding a culture of inclusion and opportunity for all.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both customers and staff
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry trends, strains, edibles, concentrates, consumption mechanisms, and all other goods Shire Cannabis Co offers, educating staff to be set up to succeed in delivering the highest level of service possible
- Implement and train/update staff on Shire Cannabis Co SOP's
- Maintain active presence not only at the store level, but also within the community and adjoining region
- Track team and individual service and sales performance, including setting KPI's, creating and reinforcing a proactive sales culture that focuses on building an empowered team through which loyal customers will naturally develop
- Communicate KPI results with management and staff, adjusting operations according to data and business needs and trends
- Effectively forecast business and schedule staff to meet procedural needs and consumer demands
- Host weekly team meetings and daily one-on-ones to review performance, discuss areas of improvement, and explain team and individual goals
- Compile all dispensary information as directed and update & report data daily, including buying trends, consumer & staff needs, revenue, etc. while providing innovative ideas to increase market share
- Manage financial records and cash handling procedures
- Interview, hire, and train new associates while developing current team members to improve their leadership and performance capabilities
- Complete reviews as directed for each team member, including suggesting pay and position movements
- Urgently address issues as they arise through empowerment, with both customers and staff, and perform all aspects of disciplinary action for staff, up to and including termination

- Update online and in-store menu as needed to verify and track inventory, including verifying goods sold and adjusting menu to dictate remaining product availability
- Oversee and manage product inventory and track all goods movement to confirm menu accuracy
- Clean, organize, and maintain all areas of the facility on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, per Shire Cannabis Co guidelines
- Lead dispensary team (budtenders, delivery drivers, inventory managers, security) through all product processes including â but not limited to â training and follow-up on weighing, packaging, storage, delivery, etc.
- Use of computer, METRC, and POS software to communicate with consumers & State (MRA), track inventory and sales, and move product sku's as needed
- Move, organize, and file products throughout lifecycle, including intake of shipments to preparation for sales floor to POS transaction
- Package bulk material for consumers at the discretion of executive management
- Create staffing, security, and delivery schedules and coordinate when/where/who to ensure consumer needs are met and deliveries are completed in a timely manner
- Communicate with necessary third parties â such as secure transporters, processors, culitvators, etc. â to efficiently manage orders and logistics
- Create POS labels for sellable goods as needed
- Work with other departments within Galenas such as HR, Sales, Cultivation, Marketing, etc. to ensure dispensary has what is necessary to consistently develope staff and grow business
- Attend management training and meetings as needed, communicating, and implementing, necessary topics/processes to dispensary team
- Maintain outstanding facility conditions and visual merchandising standards, including utilizing, leading, and implementing visual brand strategies as directed by senior and executive management
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Basic cannabis knowledge required
- Must be able to pass State/FBI background check
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including weekends and holidays
- Must understand and have experience with METRC
- Ability to lift, push, and pull fifty pounds
- Prior dispensary experience preferred, management and/or supervisory experience - in some aspect - required
- Ability to sit, squat, stand, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout each workday
- Proven work experience in retail management or similar, with multi-store management and/or new store opening experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Besides METRC, must be able to use computer and POS related technology such as weigh scales, label makers, Microsoft Office, etc.

Sanctuary Medicinals in Fort Pierce, FL is looking for one assistant general manager cannabis dispensary to join our 7 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.
The most essential skill and duty of any Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Sanctuary is to help the General Manager (GM) provide an environment that delights not only the patient, but also the team they lead. This leader will assist in the hiring/terminations, development, and training of all Medical Marijuana Treatment Center (MMTC) personnel, requiring bold decision-making and leadership skills in line with the company vision. In the absence of the GM the AGM will be the acting leadership of the store. Our Cannabis Dispensary General Store Manager is someone who can guide teams and develop their talent. The right candidate has experience leading stores, ensuring customer satisfaction, and measuring financial performance. A Maggie's Farm Retail Store Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the dispensary and is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and developing a dedicated team to drive the success of the business.
Maggieâs Farm Retail Store Managers will ensure employees maintain strict adherence to laws and regulations related to recreational and medical marijuana while ensuring all customers receive the best service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the implementation of existing and new company policies
- Lead the retail team to deliver the highest level of customer service through consistent coaching, feedback, training, and development
- Maintain and educate retail team in detailed knowledge of products and strains, inventory, and industry trends
- Stay current and partner with company Compliance Department on all state/local laws and regulations for cannabis sales to ensure dispensaries compliance
- Maintain sales, retention, and payroll goals set by the Leadership team
- Conduct performance evaluations, terminations, disciplinary action, promotions,
- Proactively work with Talent Acquisition team for hiring needs
- Own all HR functions; interviewing (in-person, virtually), candidate evaluations, new hire on-boarding, scheduling, payroll, performance management, and team development
- Manage product inventory by working closely with the Purchasing and Leadership team to ensure all inventory levels are meeting store and customer satisfaction
- Provide feedback and solutions to meet all customer satisfaction needs throughout the entire customer service journey; in-store or post reviews
- Responsible for opening and closing duties for the dispensary per company SOPS
- Ensure all marketing and visual updates are executed in a timely manner
- Successfully complete all company reports and paperwork including but not limited to new hire paperwork, I9 forms, expense reports
- Ability to analyze reports, store/company goals, budgets, and effectively use this information to plan, forecast store needs, and achieve results
- Ensure accuracy in daily deposits, cash handling and management
- Clearly communicate with all patients/customers, employees, management, support team, executive team, and vendors both written and verbal
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional work environment; including but not limited to stock room, sales floor, breakroom, bathroom, and all other store property
- Schedule all facility maintenance needs through company approved vendors; follow up and ensure needs are completed to store and company satisfaction
- Communicates all issues/concerns with Leadership team
- Supports and listens to decisions made by the Leadership team

REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills)

- Must be 21 years of age or older

The General Manager will have a dynamic personality and be driven/motivated to make our dispensary and our dispensary team the best in the area. They will be responsible for creating a world class customer experience for every customer. The General Manager will work with the Assistant Store Manager and Dispensing Agents/Budtenders in carrying out all retail operations in the store, including, but not limited to, inventory control, ordering, writing and updating SOPâs, register operations, customer service, store appearance/cleaning and displays, employee interactions, and by performing other functions as assigned. The General Manager must understand business drivers, how to maximize profitability, and ensure visual and operational standards are met consistently in the store.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate all the storeâs transactions and operations
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of all customers and employees
- Liaise with law enforcement, local and state officials, vendors, and local community
- Implement company policies and ensure staff adheres to best practices
- Inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service and experience.
- Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Drives business results by maximizing daily sales plans, managing expenses and improving metrics through sales floor leadership

- Manage financial records and cash handling procedures
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both the patients and employees
- Provide education for staff about medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanisms
- Lead, hire and train new employees and motivate current employees
- Schedule employee hours and oversee payroll
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
- Manage and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Utilize, lead and deliver visual brand standards to present unique product mix offering

Who we are?
We are a fast growing LA-based vertically-integrated cannabis start-up with some amazing projects in the works. One of our most exciting projects is the launching of one of the largest cannabis dispensaries in California this summer! We are looking for an experienced Retail General Manager to help move the project along in preparation for our Grand Opening.
Who we need?
You have experience in the legal cannabis industry, running the day-to-day operations of the retail store, managing inventory, pushing products, training new retail employees for, following all BCC compliant laws. Project management will also be a big part of this position as the GM will be responsible for helping build out systems and procedures as well as hiring the staff in the lead up to our grand opening.
General responsibilities:
The Retail General Manager will first be responsible for executing our overall mission, vision, and goals. They will develop a high-performing team that consistently delivers top-line sales growth. The Retail GM will lead a team of assistant managers and is accountable for all aspects of managing operational aspects of the store.
Responsibilities include:

- Manage budgets and set monthly and quarterly goals.

SUMMARY
The Store Manager is responsible for creating and sustaining a culture to ensure a superior retail experience for every customer. The successful candidate must understand business drivers, how to maximize profitability, and ensure visual and operational standards are consistently met or exceeded.
The store manager partners with staff and external businesses to fulfill all retail operations, including, but not limited to, inventory control, customer service, store appearance, displays, and staff development, and by performing other functions as assigned (i.e., special projects, ad hoc analyses).

RESPONSIBILITIES

What You'll Do.
- Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Manage, supervise and direct the activities of the future dispensary team
- Implement dispensary policies and ensure staff follows best practices
- Oversee and manage quality product inventory and financial records
- Ensure the dispensary remains compliant with security, inventory and local and state regulations
- Manage financial records and cash handling procedures
- Manage and inspire internal staff to deliver the highest level of customer experience
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both the patients and employees
- Provide education for staff about medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates and consumption mechanisms
- Work with COO to create budgets and forecast sales
- Set sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them
- Work with wholesalers to negotiate and procure an adequate supply of quality products
- Serve as a liaison to the local community
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
- Review performance of dispensary team members on a regular basis
- Oversee all hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees
Who You Are.
- 3+ years of experience managing a cannabis dispensary in a compliant state
- Experience managing retail locations is preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Possess valid driverâs license or state ID
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- A genuine interest in medical cannabis and the industry
- Professional and personable
- Positive, can-do attitude, solution-based thinker, organized and results driven

Associate General Manager (AGM)
SUMMARY:
The AGM is responsible for driving the business; ensuring the smooth operation of the store; overseeing staff recruitment, development, and training; and creating positive relationships and experiences for all customers. The AGM ensures that sales and profitability goals are met on a monthly basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ă¡ Reports to the General Manager
Ă¡ Manages, supervises and directs the store team.
Ă¡ Creates/oversees staff schedules, finding coverage if needed for sick time, vacation time off
Ă¡ Develops and implements operational rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ă¡ Manages financial records and cash handling procedures.
Ă¡ Responsible for Weekly Cash Audits
Ă¡ Maintains an accurate and up to date knowledge of BCC compliance regulations
Ă¡ Works with leadership team to create budgets and forecast sales.
Ă¡ Sets sales, service and profit goals and leads staff to exceed them.
Ă¡ Keeps up on product knowledge and changes in the industry.
Ă¡ Reviews employeesâĂâŹĂ⢠performance on a regular basis.
Ă¡ Oversees the hiring, success, advancement, discipline and termination of store employees.
Ă¡ Communicates with and coaches staff to ensure superior customer service, sales performance, and product knowledge.
Ă¡ Communicates daily with leadership team regarding operations.
Ă¡ Supervises inventory and inventory control.
Ă¡ Responsible for creating and implementing marketing program to support the companyâĂâŹĂâ˘s business and drive revenue through social media, print, and other advertising outlets.
Ă¡ Notifies staff on a weekly basis on procedures, policies and regulations updates/changes
Ă¡ Leads monthly staff meetings
Ă¡ Attends and contributes to weekly leadership meetings
Ă¡ Other duties as needed.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Supervises purchasing, receiving, Budtenders, data entry, receptions, floor manager and inventory management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires the AGM to be physically present at the store to actively manage and oversee operations. While performing the duties of this job, the AGM will be required to regularly sit, walk, and stand; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; reach with hands; and operate a computer. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
