Extraction / Distillation Technician
The technician role performs various technical tasks related to the extraction, refinement, and separation of cannabis essential oils for use in various cannabis-based products. Technicians will work in small, highly communicative, interdependent teams. Essential Functions
- Perform hydrocarbon extractions and all ancillary tasks
- Perform wiped-film distillation, winterization, filtering, and rotovap
- Record precise data points in sheets, ERP software system, and state-mandated METRC Cannabis track-and-trace software at each stage of production
- Assist with product formulation, laboratory tasks, facility upkeep, and product packaging
- Regular organization, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and successful production environment
- Accomplish scheduled production goals and consistently meet high quality standards
- Follow all SOP's and company policies for maintaining GMP compliance, an exceptionally clean facility, and inspection readiness at all times

The Hydrocarbon Extraction & Distillation Technician will be responsible for day to day extraction & distillation processing to create full spectrum. This includes intaking raw materials, operating the extraction and distillation equipment, tracking batch records, clean up and maintenance of equipment and facilities and conduct general extraction & processing duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Organize and manage data, extraction parameters, testing results and processes relating to lab activities.
· Operate Hydrocarbon extraction system for the production of cannabis extract.
· Operate Wiped Film Distiller to produce high quality cannabis distillate.
· Maintain inventory of all supplies, materials, equipment, finished products, by-product and spare parts.
· Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
· Provide forecasting insight and analysis while collecting cannabinoid data.
· Execute schedule batch and confirm batch records.
· Assists in supporting the optimization and distillation process.
· Maintain accurate tracking records of seed to scale system.
· Managing and training extraction technician teams efficiently and respectfully.
· Maintaining a continuous focus on safety, injury prevention in all aspects of production work

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

- Ability to follow directions. Stay current with up-to-date industry standards.
- Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction.
- Capable of making products such as: shatter, oil, wax, live resin and more.
- Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed.
* Experience with a Pope 6" is a plus, but must have wiped film distillation experience.
Bachelor Degree in Science, but prefer Biochemical, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or Engineering Degrees. Degree is preferred but not mandatory
